Time bar I have no knowledge of this machine at all. I know how to record my shows and how to watch them. My problem is that when I watch my shows now the little bar at the bottom of the screen (maybe called the time bar) does not show up. It use to show up showing the start time of the program, the end time, the time you are at in the watching of the show. There was also a display of the fast forward speed when you were pushing the fast forward button. Both of these no longer display. Any help would be appreciated. I called Toshiba and they told me I would have to send it in. I will live with it before I do that. Thank you.

Can I record a show on one channel while watching another channel

On any pay TV service, you now can record up to 6 channels and watch 1 channel at the same time. I know with broadcast DVR's, with an antenna, you can record 2 channels, while watching a totally different one. So your answer is yes.

How works time shift

Time shift is a very handy thing... it works by buffering the channel you are watching, that is: it continuously records the channel as you are watching it. The time it records for varies from make to make... Humax machines record a 2 hour "buffer".

Example: If you leave your TV on say ITV and go out, you get delayed when you are out and miss your favorite show, when you come back you can effectively rewind live TV and watch your show. However this only works for the channel that the TV is left on.. if your TV is on itv and you miss a show thats on the BBC then you are out of luck. as you can only rewind what the tv has recorded (the channel you were watching last)

I hope this is the info you were after... if you want / need more info leave a comment and i'll try to help you.

We cannot watch a show on another channel on other

Hello! Dan Busa here with DISH Network customer service. This is actually how your DVR is supposed to function. A 622 is a dual tuner reciever meaning it's capable of watching or recording two live shows at a time. When you record a show you tie up one tuner, there are two work arounds. You can get an additional dvr receiver or you can set up record preferences and have everything automatically record to tv2.

Is it possible to record one show, while watching another ??

You need to put a cable splitter on the cable. One side goes to the TV. The other side goes to the recorder. The output of the recorder goes to one of the alternate inputs on the TV. Set the recorder for whatever channel you want to record using its internal tuner. Use the TV tuner to watch a show live. Later, set the TV input to whatever you connected the recorder output to and watch your recording. You will probably need to do this to see the recorder menu to set up the recording.

Motorola dct6416 III - recorded programs appear blank

I ended up calling Motorola who suggested I unplug the power cord from the machine for 10-30 minutes. When I powered back up, I had to give the machine time to reboot but after about 10 minutes with power on I was able to access my recorded shows.

T30 always comes up with record-ready display screen

T30 defaults to an opening display screen based on where you were when you last used the device. When leaving from the record folder and record mode, you will always open with the record-ready screen. If you left your T30 while in the music folder playing a music file, you will be returned to that.

This record-ready display screen has a numeric and bar time line. The numeric values of the line are in hrs:min:seconds. This line is also split: the right half of the line indicates the total amount of available recording time, while the left half indicates your time as you record. If you compare the values of the right and left sides of the numeric bar while you are recording, you will see that the right side is diminishing as the left side increases in numeric value. When you complete your recording and save your track, the right side will now indicate the new total time (the amount your screen first displayed LESS the time value of the track just recorded).

When you are playing a music file, if you watch the time display, you will see the numeric information changing in the same way. The left side indicates how may hrs:min:seconds your track has played while the right side indicates the total time value for that file and will be correspondingly decreasing while you play your music file.

So in the short, you don't need to worry much about your display screen unless you open in the wrong folder or you need more recording time than is available. Then it has a message for you.
