I have a samsung syncmaster 930b attached to an HP Pavilion Slimline s5660f Desktop PC, plugged into the DVI port of the PC. However, I cannot get the monitor to come up. There is power to it. I get the messages that say Analog, Digital, and then it says check connection. Any ideas?

The 930B and the 710T use the same power supply/inverter boards. Below is a link to a repair guide for the 710T unit that should get you going in the right direction.

Check the video cable connectors, remove the video connectors and reconnect them again.
Check the monitor input settings make sure the input is set to VGA and not to DVI.
Try a different monitor.

I've had 2 SlimLines and both of them were plagued with USB problems for no particular reason. The second one started having problems after 30 days of use.

you Monitor uses the DVI-I Port this link will show you what it is. you will need a adapter that can connect to VGA port on your PC. unless your HP has a DVI port. You need a DVI-I to DVI-I connection to work if it has one

It is depending on what type of video input your hd tv is compatible with. The hp pc that u are using has only the default vga port on the motherboard. Have you tried connecting the pc with the hd tv via a vga cable?

Did you check for new drivers to both vid card and display? That'd be the first thing to try.
