Sony KV40XBR800 I have SonyKV40XBR800. Two years did not use it (it was power disconnected, and twice moved in the same house). Now I have spot in the basement for my TV, and two days ago when I connected TV, picture was not good (showing like "negative", colors are totally of and you can barely recognise people).Sound is normal, cable connection is not the problem (DVD player produce same, not good, picture quality). Two years ago TV was disconnected in normal working order. Is it possible to fix my TV? THANK YOU

IC in power supply needs to be replaced, this is a specialized part and should be done by an experienced tech.

i would love to tell you that these are the for certain parts but i can only tell you without looking at the tv the parts that could be the possible culprits. the horizontal deflection has stopped. could be Q8035,8038 has shorted on the D board. this is the answer that my research has come up with. please rate my solution. thank you.

Check the monitor cable at both ends for a bent pin (the small pins inside) if you find one be careful to try and straighten they will break.

Manual brightness adjustment - While in camera mode, press and hold * key and move joystick to lower brightness, press and hold 0 key and move joystick to increase brightness

Show screensaver and lock keypad - press * and lock keys
*#0000# - Reset language back to english
Hard Reset -Hold power for 10 seconds

Almost certainly it will be necessary to remove the set from any enclosure as access to its innards is gained by removing the rear housing completely.
If you feel around the back edge (hidden) of the bezel, I'm sure you will find several depressions; these are recesses for the screws that must be removed. 
Sorry about your Sony problems, their quality has greatly diminished in recent years.

REPLACE THE WATER INLET SOLENOID

7 blinks on a sony indicate that high voltage has exceeded 33K and the set is going into safety shut down. Check your Horizontal and rgulator circuits. Something in those circuits are causing the increased voltage.Hope this helps let me know if I can help you further.
