Farberware manuals do not seem to be available online. Try contacting Farberware Customer Service at the following site:

For electric kettles try the e-mail address for Electric Appliances. Send your model number with your request for a manual.

Sorry some one was not able to respond within 20 minutes but I think this had to do with lack of a ready source for the directions for use.

What makes a perculator heat?

Hi, If you have a Farberware, Just look into the bottom of the pot. There you will see what looks like a hole in the pot. That is the high heating element, under the pot, when you go to make coffee the pump ( rod) sits into the hole. When you turn it on to make coffee the high heating element that the pump is in gets very hot and starts pushing the water that is in the hole to the top (that is called perking) the hot water goes over the the top and the drops into the coffee, This keeps going on until the thermostat feels it has reached 190 degrees or close to it and turns the high element off. While this is running it's cycle the keep warn is on helping the water to get hot, when the main element is off the keep warm element that runs around the bottom of the pot stays on all the time the pot is plugged in. Should the coffee get to cold the thermostat will turn the main heating element back on until it is back to 190. This system was developed by Farberware and a lot of makers copied it, But Farberware sold the pots and was known for a FAST and HOT cup of coffee. Farberware started making them in China and the pots are having a hard time keeping it up to American standers, and parts are very scarce.Farberware USA pots have been around a long, long time and are still going strong . I hope this helped you to understand how the pot works.

How much coffee do I use for the 22-cup Farberware coffee pot?

that would depend on the coffee, and how strong you like it.

as well as how large your standard cups are.

I use 1/4 cup of folgers classic blend for 4 'normal' cups of coffee. I also use an oversized camping mug - so 4 normal cups fills two of the mugs. - - - you may want to try 1 1/8 cup of coffee grounds in the filter if making a full pot.

3 prong plugs becoming loose

Hi, You have a pot that was made in China. to fix the problem you have you have to replace the base. You can try to get one at Goodmens.com or Repair Shop.com. The China pot is very very inferior to the USA pots. I suggest buying a USA pot on eBay. The China pot is like owning a boat. Good luck . Ron

Hi J lee. If you go on to eBay and search for Farberware coffee pot parts, you will see the filters you need. The 206 is a URN , You put the ceramic tube on the pump, now you put the cone spring on top of that, small part to the ceramic, then the coffee basket on top of that. I sell and repair Farberware pots through eBay and if you have any questions you can get me on my email [email protected]. Good luck. Ron

Farberware 4 and 12 cup percolators stopped making good coffee

I thoroughly cleaned my 4-cup percolator by brewing a couple of pots of plain white vinegar and scrubbing the build-up from the bottom of the pot (and running a couple of plain water brews through the pot after all the cleaning). The percolator now brews hot, strong coffee again!
