I have LC-42D65U and unable to turn on the TV after experiencing power outage. Seems like its power button works and briefly hear the sounds, but cannot see the screen. After power outage, I have reset the TV.

Yes this is a common problem. You have to have it refered to a TV SHOP. I can fix it for you but in CA. the wiring on the speakers needs to be upgraded to a thicker wire. The gauge is to small for the current needed to flow evenly.

Check the power cord to the television if you are unable to turn it on with the "Power" button on the front. Make sure the cord is connected properly to the television and to a working AC outlet. If a power outage has occurred, unplug the television for 30 minutes to allow it to reset and plug it back in.

U already change the remote control for brand new batteries wright?Yes.Remote controls devices are heavily depend on it CPU chip for all of it functions.Test the tv manual buttons like Power,Menu,Volume - + and Channel + - all work?Yes.The tv remote control CPU is dead that why doesn't read the tv infered laser signal at all.Try website like Remotes.com to buy an original remote for the replacement.

Unplug it for about an hour to see if it will reset itself, if not, you will have to do some in-depth troubleshooting or have it repaired.
First two board to check will be the power supply module and the backlight inverter board. You will be looking for bad caps, cold solder joints, short circuits in the power supply and in the inverter board.

Sounds like your powerboard, take it back or call tech for replacement, dont settle for this, you paid good money for a working tv
