Every time I turn on my 770 a new excel file opens. At the same time at contacts I can't edit, sort or call any entry. All of this behavior dissapears after a soft reset, but then..... when I turn the 770 off, it turns on by itself..... again with a blank excel file. Anyone ?
Remove any memory cards that are in the phone (MicroSD, SD or MiniSD), and remove the SIM card, if your phone uses one. Make sure the phone is turned on before continuing (if you had to remove the battery to remove the memory card or SIM, turn the phone on).
Select "Contacts" from the main screen of your cell phone to access your contacts list. Go through the entire list, selecting each name and deleting the entry. Consult your cell phone manual to find out where the "Delete Entry" option is located in your Contacts menu (if you do not have a manual use the link in "Resources" to download a copy of one for your phone). Typically, when you choose an entry, the option to "Edit" will appear on the screen. Select that and one of the sub-options will be "Delete Entry." Do this for all of the entries in your Contact list.
Open your text messaging (SMS) application on your phone. Most phones have an icon you can choose from the main screen to go to the application (where you can compose, send, or read SMS messages). Press your "Menu" key again (or the key under the "Options" choice on the screen), and select "Delete All." Click on the choice to delete both read and unread messages. When you are done, return to the main menu.
Delete all of your media files. Go to your music, video, photo and MMS directories, and either use a "Delete All" option from the menu, or individually highlight each file name, select "Edit" and then "Delete" and remove each one.
Open your calendar and clear all of the entries. Make, sure when you choose this option from the calendar edit menu, that you check off the option to remove the calendar history as well, so past events are erased.
Open your email settings (where you entered your email address originally to receive notifications on your phone of new emails), and delete the email address you registered.
Open your notepad program and delete any notes you may have stored in the memory. Do this for any Voice Notes, if your phone offered this function as well.
