My computer, with Windows 7, is not recognizing my Motorola Surfboard SB6121 and says there is a problem with the driver. I cannot locate the driver anywhere online. I have another computer connected to the modem and it is working just fine. Do you know the name of the driver file for this modem, so I can move it from the connected computer to the non-working one?

Is your other computer also using win 7? Bet you that it is not. You have a driver issue. Try google to see if you can get a driver for your baby.

You need to register your modem with your cable provider. They will need the MAC address which is on the side or Bottom of the unit.

I'm not sure which is the "last" blue light. Look here and see the explanation for a flashing light with the emblem that matches:

How do I find the bridge mode in sb6121

The Motorola Surfboard SB6121 is a cable modem only - no router included.

You must have a router - after the modem - in the network if you need router duties.

There is no bridge mode in the modem. Bridging the modem basically bypasses the routing function of the device and passes everything on to the next device in line......the router in this case.

Since this modem does not have a router built in - it is always in bridge mode.

FLASHING AMBER LINK IDICATOR LIGHT ON MY SB6121 MODEM

The SB6121 link light uses color to indicate the connection speed. Blinking means data transfer is taking place. Blue means that it's a 1000Base-T (High-speed Gigabit Ethernet). Amber means it's an older ethernet device. 100Base-T or 10Base-T Ethernet connection.
