I have a Mitsubishi WD-52525.
Red lamp indicator was on and TV wouldn't come on. Ordered and installed new lamp.
Plugged back in and green inicator lamp flashed for a about a minute and stopped
Turned TV on & there was click and fan noise. Then the lamp came on for about 9 secs, 2 mins later the red lamp indicator light came back on. At no time during the process did I get pix or sound.
The error code flashed 34 when held in the device menu buttons
Capacitors? Lamp ballast, or Light Engine? Combo? Something else?
Usually with that model when you get a 34 eror code for lamp abnormality, its directly related to the capacitors on the Power Pwb. You can get the V26 Power PWB repair kit at the following link which repairs that issue. It contains the replacement High temp capacitors with the board location numbers and PWB identification as well as the service manual on CD. Heres the link its under their repair kit ctegory.

Lamps have been known to burn out the power supply to the DM assembly. If there is no visible damage to the lamp, your problem may be the power supply or the board. Good luck.

I AM HAVING SAME PROBLEM, BUT SOMETIMES WHEN I TURN TV ON, I SEE FLASHING HORIZONTAL COLORS. I TOO HAVE TRIED NEW LAMP. ALSO AT ONE TIME, A MESSAGE CAME UP SAYING 'CHECK CONNECTIONS OR POWER. THE CONNECTIONS FOR RGBHV OR YPrPB MAY BE INVALID.' I CHECKED CONNECTIONS, BUT FOUND NOTHING. ALSO SAW MESSAGE SAYING NO SIGNAL, BUT COULDNT READ THE REST CUZ OF THE FLASHING COLORS. AT OTHER TIMES ITS THE SAME.(RED LAMP LIGHT ON WITH NO PIX OR SOUND)
I talked with Mitsubushi customer service & they acknowledged they have had a problem with capacitors on my model but that is applies to the continiuos blinking green light and that my problem with red light indicator after replacing with a new lamp and error 34 was something different and other than giving me a service rep number they were unwilling to anything.
