I have a USB 2.0 motic camera. I am using it before from my old pc. When we transferred all the files from the old PC to the new PC, I cannot run anymore my motic camera. It seems an error of "device not detected" occurs even though there is a light (which signals power) on my motic camera

SOURCE: I can't transfer files to upload pictures to my pc using usb cable

Go to Sony site and download the driver for your phone
http://ma3-origin.extranet.sonyericsson.com/drivers/
Step 1
Remove data cable from usb and put it into a different one
Step 2
Connect your phone to the computer with the cable and turn it on.
You might see "Found New Hardware" wizard. DON'T let Windows search for the driver; point it to the driver you just downloaded, and install the drive on your computer.
After the driver as installed you should be working 100%

SOURCE: Benq 19' LCD Screen 3 yrs old- no signal detected on brand new PC

Have a look at the back of your computer.

See if there is more than 1 video port.

If there are 2 ports try plugging the monitor into the other port....

Sometimes motherboards have internal video cards, in this case the video port is in among the USB ports, sound and mike sockets etc.

Look for a video port away from all those other things.

That is fake, Why?because if you do some research in the net you will see a product there named "Nintendo DS Lite Charger cable" and if you open it you will see there that the product was previously named USB "TRANSFER" cable but now changed to USB "CHARGER" cable.

SOURCE: Sony PC110E video camera that is not recognised by PC

Buy a 4 to 4 pin or 4to 6 firewire cable (depending of Your PC model). Connect it to PC. In any case, the system must to recognize firewire device and capture the images. If PC don't want to see Your cam via direct firewire connection it means the firewire out is broken and needs to be repaired.

How to transfer from old to new computer

If you are using windows Xp - there is a transfer files option that will help transfer files from one pc to another using a serial cable.

To find that option, go to start, programs - accessories and then system tools and slide down to file transfer and follow the prompts.

You can also burn the files you wish to transfer to a cd and insert it in the pc you wish to transfer them to and then open them one by one and save them. You can use a memory stick and save the files to it and then plug it into the usb port of the pc you want to transfer the files to and open the drive then save the files one by one to the new pc.

If the files are not too large in size, you can email them to yourself and then open your email account in the pc you wish to transfer the files to and save them to it.

Hope this helps?

How to download my file from my old computer

The simplest way to transfer files from your old to your new computer is by using USB flash drives. Just save your files from the old computer onto the flash drive then plug this USB drive in to the new computer and save the files there. If you have large files, you can also use an external hard drive to copy and transfer files.

Need to know how to transfer programs and files from old to new PC

There are three sets of items that you need to transfer.
It would be best to use an external USB drive and keep the data on the drive as a backup.

1. Settings (Internet favorites, desktop settings, cookies, address book, etc.)
2. Data (My Documents, and multimedia content)
3. Programs

It would be easy if the old computer was also a Dell; however, you can't simply "copy" to the new computer.

#1. Settings: There is a built-in utility called "Files and Settings Transfer Wizard". [Start] [All Programs] [Accessories] [System Tools] [Files and Settings Transfer Wizard]

#2. The transfer wizard has an option to copy "settings only", "Data Only", Settings and Data". Transfer only the settings and then transfer the data. It will go much smoother.

#3. Some programs are already on your new computer; however, unless the old computer was also a Dell, you will have to re-install most or all of your programs like MS Office, Printers, Scanners, Camera and Video applications, etc.

If you need more detail, please post a comment... Thanks .

Transferring an internal hard drive to another computer

Hi,

There are several ways but the easiest would be to use an external USB interface such as a VANTEC CB-ISATAU2 SATA/IDE to USB 2.0 Adapter or any comparable product. This would provide the IDE connections to your old hard drive as well as a USB cord to your new PC's USB port. This is of course assuming that all you would want is access to the files/data in the old hard drive.

If your plan is to use the old hard drive as the master (meaning you want to boot from it and use your old OS with its settings on the new PC), chances are you would need to reinstall/repair the old OS since it would not run in the new PC.

If you want to install the old HD as a permanent device inside the new PC, you would need an IDE connector and install the old HD as a secondary master/slave.

If you just need to copy/move files from the old HD to the new PC, the initial method would be your best bet. The interface can be borrowed for a one time use.

Hope this be of help/idea. Pls post back how things turned out or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
