How do i turn off the hourly beep on my timex ironman t5k160?

Can’t get rid of the hour glass with some type of half circle with an arrow at the top on the left side of hour glass. This is the Ironman 30 lap. Back plate # 170

press and hold the set button, then the digits flash, it is changeable. press the mode button until it reaches the chime turn it off. then press the set button to finish. i hope this will help you.

press and hold the set button. when digits blinks it is the start of setting the time, date etc... "mode button " is for choosing what will you set. the blinking digit is the one to be set. after you have set all. press the "set" button to finish.

See page 1 of the manual for instructions which basically read as follows:

1. In TIME mode, press and hold SET/RECALL. Time zone will flash.
2. To set, push + or - to select first or second time zone.
3. Press NEXT. Hour digits flash.
4. Press + or - to change hour including AM/PM. (Scroll through 12 hours to get to AM/PM).
5. Press NEXT. Minute digits flash.
6. Press + or - to change minutes.
7. Press NEXT. Second digits flash.
8. Press + or - to set seconds to zero.
9. Press NEXT. Day of week flashes.
10. Press + to - to change day.
11. Continue pattern to set month, day of month, 12-hour or 24-hour time display, MM.DD or
DD.MM date format, turn hourly CHIME on/off, turn BEEP on/off. If you select BEEP on, a
beep will sound every time you push a button (except INDIGLO).
12. Press DONE to confirm and exit or NEXT to continue and set second time zone, if desired.

It could have 2 batteries! 1.5 volt for analog and lithium for digital! Take it to a reputable watch repair business and let them check! :-)

Press Mode till you are in Alarm setting
Press and hold split/start button till you hear the double beep. You should also see a small clock icon above the last digit of the seconds... you are all set. Repeat to deactivate hourly chime.

I threw out the watch and bought another one.

I have a Timex Men's Classic Digital Silver-Tone Expansion Band Watch #T78587. To turn the chime on and off on this watch, I press the Start/Stop button on the top right once. This toggles the chime on and off. If you hear a single beep then you have turned it on. If you hear no beep you have turned it off. You can tell the chime setting by looking at the colon seperator between the hours and minutes. If it is flashing then the chime is on and if it is not flashing then the chime is off. This is not explained in my watch manual nor in any of the manuals I downloaded from Timex.com.

got a new battery in ironman and the beep will not sound when i press the start and end button on while in stopwatch mode
