The high pitched whine is indicating there is a deflection board issue which is preventing the set from powering up. Rplacing the deflection board should solve the problem. You can get the deflection board from www.tvrepairworld.com

SEIKI TV TO DISH NETWORK

Hello,
To program traditional Dish Network remotes to your television will require a combination of buttons which I will walk you through, and I will put it as simply as possible.

Please understand BEFORE BEGINNING THIS PROCESS, You will have to follow the steps moderately quickly! Please proof read before attempting the process, so you have an understand of the process before attempting it!

Step one: Press and hold the TV button until all the buttons across the top of the remote light up.

Step two: Press the LARGE RED POWER BUTTON, NOT THE SMALL ONE MARKED "tv" directly below it.

Step three: Continuously press the UP button on the directional pad SLOWLY until the tv powers off. DO NOT press UP ANY more after the television powers off, you MUST STOP when the television powers off! If you press it any more after the television powers off the code WILL NOT BE THE CORRECT ONE AND WILL NOT WORK.

Step four: At the bottom RIGHT of the remote locate the "#" and press it ONE TIME, If done correctly the TV button at the top will flash three times.

After this last step you may proceed and power on your television, and congratulations you have just linking your remote to your television technician style!
Ive been a tech for over 6 years now and if you did this correctlyc kudos!
Best of luck,
Dish Guy

My Dish 5.0 IR remote won't program to my new TV, it's an Emerson, the model number on the back is- LC320EMXF. I've tried holding the TV button until all the top lights flashed and then...

You were attempting to perform a power scan initially. The second procedure is manually attempting to address the remote to your TV. I will give you the procedures again so you can try one more time. Emerson TV is one brand we have a low percentage of success getting our remotes to work. If it still doesn't work, we could try replacing the remote.

TV code: 623, 667, 666, 233, 516, 537, 544, 642, 655, 699, 000, 999, 888, and 720.

Remotes: Basic (Television Only)
  1. Turn the Television On.
  2. Press and hold the clear TV button for six seconds until the LED flashes.
  3. Enter the three-digit code using the buttons on the number pad.
  4. Press #. Note: The LED will flash three times.
  5. Test functionality with the TV.
  6. Return to Step 2 if the remote is not able to turn the TV On/Off, change the volume and mute the television.
Remote Power Scan: Basic Remote (Television Only)
  1. Turn the Television On.
  2. Press and hold the clear TV button for six seconds until the LED flashes.
  3. Press and release the red TV Power button.
  4. Press and release the Up or Down Arrow on the remote until the television turns off once every second.
  5. After the television turns off, press and release the # button.
  6. Test functionality with the TV.
  7. Return to Step 2 if the remote is not able to turn the TV On/Off, change the volume and mute the television.

Do not know how to program the systemlink3 universal t,v. remote control to my t.v.

Option 1:
To clear things up and make it simple, here is how to program the RCA Systemlink 3 remote:
****WITH DEVICE TURNED ON****
  1. Press and hold the "Code Search" button until the LED lights, then release. LED will stay light.
  2. Press and release the device key to be programmed. LED will go off when button is pressed and back on when released. LED remains on.
  3. Press and release the remote On/Off (power) button as many times as required to turn your device OFF.
  4. When device turns OFF, press and release the ENTER button.
Test remote on device, if ALL functions do not work, repeat above procedure.
***IMPORTANT NOTE***Count how many times you press the On/Off button. If ALL funtions do not work and you need to repeat, you don't want to stop at the same non-working code. For instance, if it takes 23 times to turn your device off and after testing, the remote does not control all functions, repeat steps 1-3 BUT when the device turns off at the 23rd time, turn it back on using the power button ON THE ACTUAL DEVICE then continue with step 3 and 4 from above.

Option 2:

Thanks for the hints on your web site. For the RCA SystemLink 3 with the key pad, I could not get the sequences described to work. But they did point me in a direction which worked for my remote:
  • With the TV on (for TV)
  • Press and hold code search until the light stays on
  • Press TV (for TV) button once
  • Press the on/off button once
  • Thereafter, the light will stay lit and every couple to three seconds it will blink twice indicating it is trying another code.
  • When the TV turned off, I pressed enter. Thereafter the unit worked.

Panasonic LiFi model number PT-50LCZ70. Have red lamp light flashing on front 2 times. Have tried to turn it on and get no picture and no sound at all. I checked and the fan is running. What now?

After the red 2 flashing starts, press the power button on the front of the TV and hold pressed down for ten seconds.
You will hear a faint click comming from the back of set.
After 10 sec release the button and wait 10 more seconds then press the start button and release right away.
The green light flashes and the bulb attempts to start.
I found my picture will turn on on the third attempt of the bulb restarting.

When you do this and the room is dark you can see the bulb attempt to restart, My bulb has restarted on the third restart every time.

(note: The three start attempt happen after I do the button pressing
1 time and I do not need further button pressing restarts.

I think panasonic needs to let us know what the problem is.

I called Panasonic and they told me to plug it into a wall plug by itself.

I have it plugged into a multi plug adaptor now and have not tried this yet.

One for all universal remote model URC-3220 Attempting to program direct Tv receiver to remote. Need Receiver code number

Hello, follow this link to download the manual and the codes for your remotes:
http://www.ofausa.com/remote.php?type=URC3220
just right click and save as on the download links.

if this does not work you can try the search method,
you do this by either holding down the device button eg: TV or if you have one the "magic" button for three seconds, a light should then flash twice to say you have done this correctly.
then press the keys 991 then the power button.
you must now press the channel up key (ch+) possibly upto 150 times while the remote cycles through every code.
Once your tv or device switches off stop pressing the ch+ key and press the power button to make sure it switches back on,
(if you press ch+ too many times you can go back by pressing ch-)
When complete press the magic or device key again to save the settings (light should flash twice to confirm)

Many thanks
Mark
