96 town and country chrysler interior light stay on al the time even when driving or exiting the car I have replaced the ignition swich, the drivers door swich, the interior lights relay the door chime is going when the door is opened but everything is turned off and I have the keys in my hand. Also I unpluged the headlight and dimmer swich and still the chime is going. What is the gremline I'am missing.

Have you checked the pin switchs at the doors ? This function does run thru the BCM but is not a common failure so I cannot rule out a defective in the BCM

I would check your door jamb switches first, they are spring loaded and you can check them by pushing each one in and move your finger and they should pop back out without any restriction. When the springs are open your interior lights should come on and when pressed in turned off. Also be sure to check your console dimmer control/interior light switch as well to make sure it is functioning properly
Either you have a bad door jamb switch (stuck closed) or a short in the interior light ground side circuit. Start by checking drivers door jamb switch.
The fuse is also listed as the "IOD" fuse. ( Ignition off draw) This will be a 15 amp fuse located in the "IPM" module which is the black fuse panel in the engine compartment with the snap on lid located along the driver side fender. Open hood, prop it open and check with a test light or pull out and do a visual inspect.
the plastic lens that you press to turn the light off and on can be remove with a pick or small screwdriver pry from the outer edge of it and it will pop off. the light will come out with the socket by twisting.
