SOURCE: HP Compaq nx6115 PC Notebook : Speakers suddenly stopped working

Just go to your computer manufacturer's website and see if there are any audio driver updates, because that is what it sounds like to me. If there aren't any driver updates for your audio, then reinstall the audio drivers that it shows. If your computer is just a couple months old, then it is or should still be under warranty. if the driver update/ reinstall doesn not fix the issue, then if you purchased the laptop from a store, take it back, along with your receipt, and ask for an exchange or for them to repair it. if you bought it online, contact the site or your manufacturer if you ordered it from them, and request their process of sending it back for a replacement or repair. I hope. this helps you out

SOURCE: sounds both in head set and speakers

Solution:

i) try somother headset(if you have spare ones...with u), if prob still exists there must problem with sound port(inbuilt sound on your laptop) which is not allowing the wire or chord of your headset to completely plugin to your laptop sound port.....

it is like this  connecting wire is  paritally inside your laptop sound port and partially outside and leading to sounds from both laptop speaker(builtin) and the headset you are connecting.....

Thanking you

SOURCE: I seem to have lost all sound on my HP Pavilion laptop

Ok have a look at the bottom right hand side of the screen at the system tray, if there is a red round circle on the speaker icon then the speakers are muted, you may have to active them via the keyboard toggle, hold down Fn and locate the sound keys (usually the "F" keys), If this doesn't work go back into device manager and uninstall the sound drivers, reboot the laptop and the drivers will re-install by themselves, that should do the trick

Good luck

Hi,

This is probably due to malfunction driver.

Questions:

1. What operating system installed on notebook. Windows Vista, Windows 7 or other ?
2. Did you installed anything recently ?
3. Do you have driver CD of your HP Pavilion ?

Try following

1. Restart your notebook, if minor malfunction a restart will work.

You can try shutting off Audio Hardware Acceleration.

Sounds like the files could be corrupt, try playing them through the computer first, if they play out try using Nero to do the burns.
Post back if you have no luck and we can look at other possibilities.
