Starting to get bearing noise from the CPU fan, and am looking for a direct replacement fan. HP site doesn't help and my usual sources for fans doesn't have the CPU fan for this model HP Pavilion. I assume (bad boy) that I'm looking for a 70mm 12v 3-pin fan?Starting to get bearing noise from the CPU fan, and am looking for a direct replacement fan. the coil for fan, can be reheating for the years and fluctiuation of voltage in line. Will be a GOOD idea to replace with the properly parts from factory or similar.Remember see the tech spec. like 115vca or 220vac OR 60HZS, watts.God bless you
Quite possibly. You will need to remove the fan and heatsink from above the CPU to find out if it's just fried the CPU or cooked the motherboard (mobo) too!.
Replacing the CPU is not too hard, you'll need a little thermal paste, replacing the motherboard can be a pain unless you're techy.
This message is a warning that the CPU cooling fan is no longer turning fast enough to adequately cool the CPU. You should not use your computer until the fan is replaced.or the CPU could be permanently damaged as a result of over-heating.
Unless you have replaced these fans before, I would advise you to have the fan replaced by a PC technician as it's pretty easy to damage the processor when removing/installing the fan.

This message means that the fan on your CPU (processor) is failing or has failed. This is not good because if the fan on the CPU fails your CPU will overheat and cause your machine to lock up and become non-functional till it cools down and then the same cycle will repeat till the fan is replaced.
The manufacturer's site says the processor is a Pentium 4 socket 775. You don't need to look for the exact replacement part. Just order a socket 775 CPU cooler from any of the many online vendors and replace the one currently installed.
