I don't quite understand your problem.
If you are writing about resolution, then all modern cards can support a lot of different resolutions. But it's the MONITOR that defines the particular resolutions it supports.
The card settings should be set to the monitor's "native" (sometimes called maximum) resolution for optimum picture quality.
If we are talking about a laptop, you should find the LCD screen's resolution in your laptop specifications (either in the manual or on the Web).
