Sync loss on outlook

First time posting question- thank you in advance My company purchased the Samsung i500 for me through Sprint. I was pretty much impressed at first and was able to Sync to Outlook 2002 SP 2 immediately. Now I cannot sync my contacts or address book past a certain point (not sure what point) I get no error messages, but new info no longer syncs. I am using an outdated calendar and my contacts that I add via Outlook no longer show up. I have tried to validate in "custom" under my hotsync icon that I am set correctly to have the both the phone and computer accept data from the other to no avail. Any suggestions, help etc? I also notice that my phone no longer appears ANYWHERE on the palm website for support etc??? What happened?

You go to your toolbar and right-click on the icon. Select custom. On the drop-down, secect your hotsync name.. make sure the contacts and other built-in conduits (date-book, memos) are set to desktop overwrites handheld.

I want to connect my mobileohone via blue tooth with my pc and I want to synchronice with outlook. How can I do this? Thanks for answer.

You need to purchase a USB 2.0 Bluetooth Wireless Dongle this Converts non Bluetooth PC into Bluetooth enabled.Once you have done that synchronization is easy as either purchasing software for your phone for syncing or copying the contacts / email / calender files to your PC and importing into Outlook. If you tell me what model phone you have I can give you a better sync solution.

I have a palm centro and change to iphone. how can I move?

My wife and I just bought an iPhone and wanted to transfer our contacts from our Samsung i500 Palm phone. All the instructions I found online suggested going through Outlook, but that didn't work for me for a variety of reasons. I found this other method that worked really well.
  1. Bring up Palm Desktop. Make sure your Palm phone is sync'ed up. Show the Address page, select all contacts (Ctrl-A), and export them with File, Export vCard... This puts all contact information into a single file as a sequence of vCards.
  2. Bring up Windows Address Book. You can find this in Start, All Program, Accessories, Address Book.
  3. Using Windows Explorer, drag the vCard file you created in step 1 to the Windows Address Book window. I had never used Windows Address Book, so it was empty. If yours isn't empty, you'll have to decide whether you want to merge your contacts.
  4. When you drop the file, you'll get a window asking you to confirm the first contact. Press OK. Another window will come up for the second contact. Press OK until all windows are gone. It's easiest to hold down the Enter key.
  5. Bring up iTunes with your iPhone plugged in. Go to your iPhone page, to the Info tab, and configure it to sync from Windows Address Book. Click Apply in the lower-right corner of the window.
  6. Sync your iPhone. Verify that your contacts transferred over.
  7. Tell iTunes to stop sync'ing with Windows Address Book, since you probably only wanted a one-way sync. Your contacts will be backed up anyway by iTunes, so the Address Book sync feature doesn't buy you much.

OR

Sync your palm to outlook, then sync your outlook to your iPhone. It'll grab the outlook contacts and calendar.

Sync problem with Outlook Public calendar

Hi Brad,

By default, it won't sync the company shared calendar. This is in fact very hard to do. You will need to speak the guys in your IT department about a product to sync your calendar with the company one. If you use Exchange server, then you may wish to look towards a product such as 'SlipStick'...

Flashing Display on Samsung i500

I have had the same problem... twice.  First time I held down some keys just trying desperately to get it to come back to life.  Well I hit the right combination for a hard reset.  So I lost all my data.
Second time I took my phone into the Sprint Store across from Sprint HQ in KC.  The only thing they knew to do was a hard reset. I'm suspicious since I was having trouble removing my battery the second time, that my battery's position may have caused some type of short.  Still searching. KC Ron

Address Book Not Synching

If addressbook is presently syncing to Contacts in Outlook, then you will need to reinstall the desktop to alter the conduits. The reinstall should overlay the present version. Just select to alter conduits when requested.

Network sync

Not being familiar with (or a fan of) Mac, I did a little research and came up with this: Access a Shared Folder from Mac OS X. Open the Finder, click Go on the menu at the top of the screen, and select Connect to Server. Enter the following address, replacing COMPUTERNAME with the Windows computer's name: smb://COMPUTERNAME. You can also enter the other computer's local IP address instead of its name.

Not sure if it helps at all but there you have it.
