You probably need to be more specific as to which tone is annoying :-)
The ON HOLD source is what the caller hears when he's put on hold. It can be adjusted in SYS programming to Tones, Music, or None.
The HELD REMINDER tone is what your phone does when you put a call on hold. It can be set for none to 180 seconds in 30 second increments (at least on a CICS).
The programming is done using a 7310 or better phone in system programming.
The answer is still there. You have to get into System Programming **CONFIG. You probably need the SYSTEM COORDINATOR PLUS password or the Installer password. Then look under SYSTEM PROGRAMMING and FEATR settings.
HELD REMINDER will show up.
This works for xICS systems. I don't know if it translates to an 616/824 type system, but it should. You are turning the feature OFF to stop recalls (CHANGE toggles the selection from Yes to No).

Usually that "beep" alert is an indication that your phone is NOT on vibrate, but on "beep". Check your side volume keys and make sure that your setting is on vibrate, then click "ok" to confirm your changed preference.
yes if you are speaking of the beep go into menu settings where you afjust clock and such and turn off beep it is reminding you to remove the face..it is annoying
then you will need to have the firmware reflash or take it to the store and hvae them explain why it is still doing that.....the phone firmware may need fixing.
Thank you for contacting the BT Helpdesk. To turn off the message alert beep:Hold the left-hand <<SKIP button on the main base until the voice says "message alert off"
Try This....
