Hello
Check your TVs power supply regulator section for any loose sodering points in it. The regulated voltage comes from it is more thatn normal. Check out all the soldering terminals. It is best to resolder all the suspected solder terminals by applying a little more solder, without making any solder bridge short in between adjecent solder points. The fault symptom as reported by sony is:-Two blinks - B+ over current protection (OCP), unit goes to the standby mode then displays the 2 blink fault. Could be a short in the power supply of any of the circuits.
Check for any short circuit in the secondary section of the SMPS power supply section. Check the horizontal output transistor for collector to emitter short.

Sony Triniton TV KV 32FS120 will not turn on

In standby mode (red led on/after the led stops from blinking), press "Display", "5", Volume (-)", "Power on" on the remote control in sequence, self diagnostic screen will be display, let me know the what is on the screen to diagnose where the fault came from.

Tele turned itself off, red light blinks 4 times then pauses and blinks 4 times again.

You can try unplugging it for a while and then plugging it back in, but according to the manual, the standby LED:
Lights up red when your TV is in PC power saving mode. If the LED blinks in red continuously, this may indicate the TV needs servicing.

Goes from on to Standby by its self because of protection mode that activates for some internal problem. Do you see standby light blinking on tv front? What is model number of your tv? How many times standby light blinking after 3 seconds long pause? Let me know to find out possible cause of problem.

I finally managed to solve this problem by unplugging everything - scarts - HDD cables - power etc and left it for an hour. When I turned it back on again the problem had sorted itself out.

Depends on how many times it blinks,just count the blinks Example: if it blink 2 times then pauses and blink 5 times then the code would be 25 and so on

HI, this is the result of an unstable power sector in this unit. the fly back is malfunctioning and, you will need to replace it asap. i will list the part number below and a link to a site as well. you can purchase this part on-line if you wish.

Tv won't turn on-red blinking light

This is the most common death mode for TV's. The high voltage is acting up. You set is not quite 10 years old right? Can be fixed, but involves replacing the Flyback transformer which is not cheap. It is a toss-up as to whether it is worth putting the $200 or so it will cost to fix into a set that has limited expected lifetime.
