Receiving cartridge error consilt user guide, can you help mke?

Well, without knowing what printer it is or the full text of the error message, or what lead up to your proboem, this is a guess.
Wrong ink cart.
Empty ink cart
Missing ink cart.
Mis-installed ink cart.

Many ink carts have a piece of tape over the contacts or over an air breather hole. This must be removed before installing it.

Some printers have delicate contacts that can be bent or broken if the cart isn't installed carefully.

How do you remove ink cart.

To replace an ink cartridge on a Kodak ESP C310 follow these steps:

1) Make sure your printer is on.
2) Lift the printer access door, and wait for the carriage to move to a position where you can access it. The ink cartridges are located in the printhead.
3) Pinch the tab on the ink cartridge.
4) Lift the ink cartridge out of the printhead.
5) Remove the new ink cartridge from its bag.
IMPORTANT:To prevent the printhead from drying out, insert the ink cartridge into the printhead immediately.
6) Remove the protective cap from the cartridge.
7) Insert the ink cartridge into the printhead.
8) Press down on the ink cartridge tab until you hear a click.
9) Close the printer access door.

That completes changing the ink cartridges.

Replace ink cartridge lexmark 5600 series

Hi the lexmark 4a cart can be found on ebay, however not very many,

have you considered re-filling it, this is quite easy

Buy black ink, drill tiny hole, insert ink, pop tape on and head clean,

but in all fairness, it may well be time to replace the printer to get easy access to carts

cheers

Lines show up throughout print jobs

Your print heads most likely need to be cleaned.

When you don't use your ink carts for a while, when you get new ink carts that have been stored in warehouses for a number of months, or when you have refilled a slightly too dry ink cart, the print head nozzles on the bottom of the ink carts get clogged with dried ink. The printer head cleaner menu will not disolve the dried ink. Water will. Try this. Soak the bottom of the clogged ink cart in 1/2 inch of hot water for 15-30 minutes. Blot dry with clean paper towel(you should see the ink color on the towel). Retry.

Canon MX850 willnotprint from Large Black Ink Cartridge - PGI-5BK

Ink Carts do act finicky at times. Especially Canon carts.
In many cases, the ink carts have a small fuse built into the back of the cartridge that opens up if the cart has been removed for any reason. Replacement Carts come with the fused portion reset, thus when you insert it into the printer, it works great. If the cart is FULL, it still may not be observed as full or new by the Printer itself. Best way is to use a new cart, not necessarily a Canon Brand. Use an inexpensive company like

My machine keeps saying No cartridage Open scanner cover then reinstall ink cartridage

This can sometimes happen when a cartridge becomes completely empty (but this shouldn't happen with original Brother ink carts).
Are you using Originals or compatable/refills etc?

If the ink carts all seem ok:

Take out all the ink carts and close cover.
Switch off power and wait a few seconds.
Switch power back on.
Machine will prompt you to install each cart.
Do this individually untill all carts are back in machine.

If this does not solve the problem (and you are 100% the ink carts are not faulty) the machine requires engineer to repair.

Will not print

Most likely your print head is clogged, there are 2,00 some nozzle's in it. If the printer is not used for a moderate amount of time the ink can dry up and cause a clog in those nozzle's. You can try taking out ink carts, powering down with ink carts out. Unplug the power wait a few seconds with out power, power back on, wait for missing ink cart prompt, put ink carts back in close access door, wait for it to get done making noise then proceeed in doing a printhead clean from the main menu, or homecenter->?->maintenance. Then after that do a calibration, print a demo sheet to see if there is any improvment. The printhead clean pushes ink through the nozzles to try to clear clogs. The calibration scans those nozzles to see which are avalible to use, and makes sure that all the avalible nozzles are being used. If this does not fix the problem you most likely need a printhead but you will have to call kodak; as they are not avalible in stores. Also you can try updating your firmware from kodak home center, or www.kodak.com/go/downloads

Color prints too dark

1. Took out the color ink cart and clean the copper contacts of the ink cart with cotton swab, make sure that you do not touch the silver nozzle .
2. Try new ink color ink carts as someime this issue came up when the ink carts are about to finish up.
3. Replace the ink carts and do not us a refill ink.

Take all carts out. Close cover. Unplug machine from power. Wait a minute. Plug in machine to power. Machine demands carts. Insert new (!) cart as demanded from machine. In case when asked push 1 for YES: cart changed.

BTW:
Always print until machine stopps printing. Display says NO INK XY. After replacing the cart machine will print the rest data out of its memory.

NEVER change cart when machine says low ink (This is only a hint to buy a new cart!). At this point the cart has about one third of ink left!
