You have to check for a faulty speaker inside. make sure that it is OK, and then follow the audio output section circuit, to locate the fault.
It sounds that there may be some loose soldering point at somewhere on circuit board.

Yes it can be fixed . it is possible that you might have your TV's Y-sus malfunctioned so it needs to be changed If you tell me the model of you 60" tv i might be able to supply you with more informations
I have the same problem. Good picture with no sound at all. I have a LG DVX583KH and LG TV LM7200. I connected the DVD player to TV via HDMI cable, I have a clear picture but no sound. I try to hook up the DVD to other TV and it works both sound and picture. Please help
