How To Reset Your HTC Hero

Soft Reset

  1. Turn off the phone, if you can.
  2. Remove the battery and wait 1 minute.
  3. Reinstall battery and turn on the phone.
Hard Reset/Factory Reset
Resetting the phone deletes all data, including downloaded applications, and resets the phone back to its initial state.
  1. Press HOME > MENU, and then tap Settings > Security > Factory data reset.
  2. On the Factory data reset screen, tap Reset phone, and then tap Erase everything.
  3. Your phone will erase all personal data and restart. It may take a few minutes for the process to complete.
or
  1. When the phone is turned off, press and hold the HOME, END CALL/POWER, and BACK buttons.
  2. The reset process will start after a few seconds.
  3. When the phone finishes the reset process, press MENU.

  • 1 Plug your Kindle Fire in and give it time to charge before performing a hard reset. This helps ensure your issues aren't related to having a low battery.
  • 2 Hold down the Power button for 20 seconds. The Kindle Fire will shut down.
  • 3 Press the Power button to turn the Kindle Fire back on.
Fire Factory Reset
  • 1 Swipe your finger down from the top of your Kindle Fire's screen, presenting the Quick Settings menu.
  • 2 Tap the "Settings" option and select "Device."
  • 3 Select "Reset to Factory Defaults," then tap the "Reset" button. Wait while your Kindle Fire restarts and restores.

Hi there,
You need to reset your device to factory installed settings, to use your cellphone, there are two type of reset you can apply, 1. Soft reset 2. Hard Reset
1. To perform a soft reset
Remove the battery cover and using the stylus, press on the small
button to the left of the battery. Otherwise simply remove the battery,
wait a few seconds and then insert the battery again.

2. To perform a Hard Reset
Hard reset by pressing device buttons:

1. Turn off your device.
2. Hold down the Send button, End button and Camera button.
3. Do not release Send, End and Camera, press the Power button.
4. After on-screen indication, release all the buttons.
Caution, Hard reset will delete all your data from the Phone memory, including contacts, messages, or pictures you have in phone memory
