Enable CD autorun for use with Connect Player

** WIN XP ***

- Run the “Registry Editor” (Start | Run | regedit | ENTER)
- Select HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\CdRom
- Double-click on “Autorun”
- Change the value from “1? to “0?

- Open “Device Manager”
- Expand “DVD/CD-ROM drives”
- Highlight the drive you play your audio CD’s in
- Right click it and select “Properties”
- Click on the “Properties” tab
- Turn off the “Enable digital CD audio for this CD-ROM device”
- Click “OK”

I've got a studio 1737 with dvd/cd rom driver CDEXK4LE3GHQZ01 SCSI cdRom Device TSSTcorpDVD+_RW TS-T633AATA Device. The driver no longer reads any dvd (film, game) but it reads audio cd without problems. I wonder what I coud do to solve this problem;

Try this fix:
For windows XP: Click on start Click on run Then type Regedit HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE> SYSTEM > CurrentControlSet > Control > Class > {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}. In the right pane, if you have UpperFilters / LowerFilters, right-click UpperFilters / LowerFilters, then delete it. Exit registry editor Restart the computer
For Windows Vista / 7: Click on start Then type Regedit in the search box. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE> SYSTEM > CurrentControlSet > Control > Class > {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}. In the right pane, if you have UpperFilters / LowerFilters, right-click UpperFilters / LowerFilters, then delete it. Exit registry editor Restart the computer

Deleted Sonic DLA because of crashes and now computer won't recognize unformatted disc in drive

Go to the registry and delete the lower and "upperfilters"for the CD/DVD drive option. you can access it by going to this option. REGEDIT >> HKEY Local Machine >> System >> CurrentControlSet >> Control >> Class >> Select for the option which is the first {4D36.....}. After deleting the upper/lowerfilters, close the Registry Editor and restart the laptop. Then there try inserting a blank disc or any disc. Thank you.

code 10 cd/dvd

Hi,

Lets follow this:-

1. Choose Start > Run..
2. Type regedit in the Open text box and click OK.
3. Expand my computer - Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class and select the {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} key, which appears as a folder.
4.On the right hand side, you'll find upper and lower filters, select them one by one and delete.
5.Restart PC and hope it works for you.

Note:Create a restore point before you delete any key from registry.

  1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then press ENTER.
  2. Locate and click the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\CDRom
  3. To enable automatically running CD-ROMs, change the Autorun value to 1.To disable automatically running CD-ROMs, change the Autorun value to 0 (zero).
  4. Restart your computer
