This device has a non-removable battery. This process can be used to simulate a "battery pull" when the device is unresponsive, frozen or doesn't power on.

Press and quickly release the Volume up button thenpress and quickly release the Volume down button.
To complete, press and hold the Side button until the Apple logo appears on the screen.
A soft reset is a simulated battery removal. This is used to power a device off when the screen is frozen or unresponsive and the device it has an internal battery that cannot be removed.
Press and hold the Power/Lock button on the left side of the phoneand the Volume Down key on the right side of the phone at the same time.
Wait for the device to restart, then release the buttons.
The battery is non removable(Internal) on the HTC One X. Press and hold the power button for 10-15 seconds(varies by model) to simulate a battery pull(work's if phone is frozen)
If the phone is frozen and you just want to "pull the battery" hold the power button for at least 10 seconds and the phone will power off(simulates a battery pull in devices with non removable batteries)
If you would like to do a factory restore(hard reset)
Ensure the device is powered off.
Press and hold the Volume Down button then press and release the Power button. Note When the screen with the three androids appears, release the Volume down button.
Press the Volume Down button to select Factory Reset then press the Power button. Note Allow several minutes for the reboot process to complete.
