When you do an update in Windows 10 on a Dell M6500 laptop with an NVIDIA
video display
go to the CONTROL PANEL, Device Manager, scroll down to the display
portion and pull up Nvidia and DELETE it.
It will default to Microsoft Display driver.
RESTART the laptop
go back to the Device manager
and it shouuld have reinstalled the correct driver for the NVIDIA

xps 1530 graphics problem

Your laptop appears to have decent specs. Did you update drivers to you video card, Nvidia,or windows updates to video lately? You could go to Device Manager> Display Adapter>right click >Properties on NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS - and open properties> Driver> Update Driver or roll back driver.
Assumeing there has not been any damage to the monitor. You could always try a system restore or system recovery. If it's a software problem that would clear it, if it's a hardware problem it will move with the restore/recovery most likely.
Let me know how it works.

I have a dell Vostro 3300 laptop I have a problem with graphic card,it seems to be installed but I can't run any screen saver or game! I updated the driver but it didn't help

If you have installed Windows XP, you'll find the NVidia portion of the switchable video configuration will no longer function (It is only supported in Vista and Windows7)
If you install the Notebook system software, Chipset then the Intel Video driver you should have normal Intel Video functions.
If not running XP, post your OS and any software changes you have made to the system
