Sorry to tell you that LG makes the worst refrigerators of all time. The control panels have CONSTANT problems. I suggest you buy a home warranty that covers refrigerators.I had the big 31 CF Kenmore (made by LG). Sears came out THIRTEEN times trying fix it. They replaced the coils twice, the control panel twice and the refrigerant-line fluid filter 3 times. Finally they gave me $1000 to throw it away.
AS A WARNING TO SHOPPERS!!!!!!! You should stay away from high efficiency refrigerators!! They gain that efficiency by reducing the cooling capacity. The walls of heat exchanges are much thinner, leading to leaks. Ask any fridge repairman. All this leads to breakdowns after only a few years of service, because they are so fragile..
