First, find a sturdy flat surface. You will be laying the monitor on it's face - face down so get a towel, blanket or something soft to cushion the monitor on the flat surface. Lay the monitor face down on the whatever cushion you chose. There are two black machine screws on the back on the plate that is part of the stand. Remove these screws and the stand will slide free.
Generally there are 4 screws in the back near the center-bottom of the TV. Lay your TV down on a flat surface and remove those screws then slide the bottom out.
First, carefully lay the face of the TV down on a soft surface with the stand protruding over the edge of the surface, then remove jack panel cover on the back of the TV to expose the 5 screws holding the base on. Remove those screws and slide the base away from the unit. These instructions are also found on page 5 of your owners manual.

Removing the Pedestal Stand
1) Carefully lay the front of the unit face down on a flat, cushioned surface such as a quilt or blanket. Leave the stand protruding over the edge of the surface.
Note: Extreme care should always be used when removing the pedestal stand to avoid damage to the LCD panel.
2) Remove the jack pack cover on the back of the TV to expose the pedestal stand screws. The jack pack cover can be removed without tools.
3) Remove the five screws shown in the diagram below. This will allow removal of the pedestal stand.
4) Once you have removed all five screws holding the pedestal stand in place, remove the pedestal stand from the TV by sliding the pedestal stand away from the TV.
same way you inserted. lay the tv down flat on a soft secure surface to protect the screen. make sure there is no pressure on the stand. look for 6-8 larger screws attached to the frame for each leg of the base. remove these screws and slide out the stand. voila! hope this helps, J
