Tip & How-To about Fuji FinePix S1000FD Digital Camera

A Work Around For Dealing With a Broken Power Switch

Others have had this same problem, the plastic power on/off slider switch eventually breaks (absolutely ridiculous that it happens at all, and I treated mine very gently).

I was going to throw mine out, then remembered that you can power the camera on by holding down the green arrow button (picture viewing button) on the back for two or three seconds. Unfortunately that doesn't seem to work to turn it off, so you just have to set it to power off after two minutes.

Not a great solution, but better than throwing it away, and better than wasting money to have it repaired (if that's even possible).

how to remove upper part of center consule, where the oil pressure gauge is on a 1983 porsche 944?

1) Remove two screws visible on top corners

2) Pull off the 3 HVAC sliders (pull with a little force) and pull off the fan speed knob

3) Using a flathead, carefully pry off the bezel that surrounds the HVAC sliders. It might be clipped on at the bottom. Don't worry about breaking the clips, you can use 3M mounting tape to get it back on even if you completely eff it up.

4) There are 2 more screws visible now, remove them

5) Now, pull on the main plastic shroud that goes around the top and sides - hard, but without breaking any plastic. It might take a couple minutes, but it will eventually come out to expose the goodies behind it.

6) The clock is attached by a metal piece that holds it against the plastic face. Remove the two thumb-screws, and remove the metal foot piece. Unplug wiring and remove clock.
Remove the 2 top screws first.

you need to remove the 2 tiny bolt head screws on the bottom under there in white.

chrysler 300 2006 will not go into gear how can i fix it

Hi there! That happen to my Chrysler 300. The gear wouldn't shift at all. The problem was..the little pink plastic thing that makes the car shift broke. We called the dealership and they were trying to make us pay a lot of money to replace WHOLE SHIFT GEAR! I was like no sir..so I did researched and I replaced the pink plastic thing with an aluminum one that won't break ever. It was 49.99 from the website I bought it from. They are on sale now for 29.99. My husband replaced piece took him an hour to do it. Never had problems with gear since. Here's the website where I bought it from...

WHATEVER YOU DO..DO NOT TAKE IT TO DEALERSHIP..THEY WILL CHARGE YOU AN ARM AND A LEG AND WILL REPLACE WHOLE GEAR AND PUT PINK PLASTIC THING BACK IN..WHICH EVENTUALLY WILL BREAK AGAIN..GOOD LUCK!!! :)

my notebook was working fine the day before, and fully charged! today, while attempting to switch it on by sliding the power switch, it won't happen! it is not switching on! please suggest how i may f

Probable cause. Plastic on/off power switch slider is cracked and cannot operate actual power switch. Need to disassemble netbook to gain access to switch. Superglue may provide temp solution but best option to contact Samsung for part.

FLOOR HEAT INOP DOOR BROKEN

Simple solution even the dealers could'nt find, The white plastic pivot bushing which links servo motor to plenum door has a stop cast into it, which was broken off. Ridiculous that it took three dis-assemblys to discover. Thank- you for your interest.
