How to set up the e-mail client - T-Mobile Shadow?

To set up an e-mail account on the device, follow these steps:

  1. From the Home screen, scroll down to Message Center.


  2. Scroll to the right and select Set Up E-mail.
    • NOTE: For additional information on setting up e-mail, select FAQ's or About.




  3. Select one of the following options:
    • AOL | AIM Mail: set up your device to receive e-mail from an AOL® or AIM® account.
      1. Read the terms of use, then select Accept.


      2. Type your Screen name and the at symbol (@), then select either aol.com or aim.com


      3. Type your Password.
      4. Select Next.
        • NOTE: Ensure the Save Password check box is selected.
      5. Select Finish or Done.


    • Gmail: set up your device to receive e-mail from a Gmail account. Before using this service, verify that POP e-mail access is enabled in your Gmail account.
      1. Type your e-mail account name.


      2. Type your password.
      3. Select Next.
      4. Select Finish or Done.



    • Windows Live Hotmail: set up your device to receive e-mail from a Windows Live™, Hotmail®, and MSN® e-mail accounts.
      1. Select Sign in to Windows Live.
      2. Read the terms of use and select Accept.


      3. Type your E-mail address and Password.
      4. Select Next.


      5. Select the desired options for display on your Home screen.
      6. Select Next.
        • NOTE: These options cannot be selected with the T-Mobile Default Home screen.


      1. Select the data options to sync on the device.
      2. Select Next.


      3. Once the device connects and downloads e-mail, select Done.

    • Yahoo! Mail: set up your device to receive e-mail from your Yahoo!® Mail account.
      1. Read the terms of use and select I Agree.


      2. Type your Yahoo! ID, Password, and Display name.
      3. Select Next.


      4. Select Finish.
        • The new Yahoo! e-mail account displays.


    • Outlook E-mail: set up your device to receive e-mail from your Outlook® account.
    • Other E-mail: set up your device to receive e-mail from other POP3 and IMAP4 e-mail accounts.
      1. Type your E-mail address and Password.
      2. Select Next.


      3. If necessary, type the Incoming and Outgoing server addresses.


      4. Select the Server Type.
      5. Scroll to Account Name Displayed and type the desired account name.


      6. Select Menu, Done.
        • The message Set up Process is complete displays on your screen

I can't read emails from my ipod touch 4th gen even though I already set it up

Step 1: Make sure you are connected to the Internet by going to Settings > WiFi and see if your WiFi network is selected. If not, select it.
Step 2: In Settings, scroll down to where it says Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Tap it.
Step 3: Under accounts, look to see if you do have your email setup. If it isn't, tap add account and follow the on-screen directions. If it is proceed to Step 4.
Step 4: Tap on your account, and a screen with a list for Mail, Calendars, and Notes should show up. Change the switch on Mail to ON.
Step 5: Now go to your home screen, tap on Mail and you should be able to read emails.

can not access yahoo mail and messanger in my phone

I hope this helps. This is for a MyTouch running android however I would think it will give you some ideas. This was taken from http://forum.xda-developers.com

1. From the Home screen, tap the Application tab.
2. Tap Email.
3. Tap Next.
4. Enter the e-mail address and password.
5. Tap Manual Setup.
6. Tap OK when the 'Free Yahoo! Mail accounts only work over T-Mobile wireless networks. Yahoo! Mail Plus users should configure POP settings manually.' message appears.
7. Tap IMAP account.
