HOW TO ENTER SERVICE MODE MENU TO PANASONIC TVs

This is the way to enter service mode menu to most of the Pansonic TVs.

1. Press and Hold Down the [Vol-ve] key, on the front panel of the TV set.
2. Press "Recall" button on the remote control three times.
The service menu window will appear.
3. Use digits [1] & [2] keys on the remote control to navigate Main Menu items.
4. Use digits [2] & 4] keys on the remote control to navigate sub Menus.
5. Press [Vol+ or Vol-ve] keys on the remote control to change the data value to selected item.
6. Power OFF the TV, by its main Power ON/OFF switch to save the adjusted value into memory and to exit from service menu. When you switch ON the set for the next time, it will come alive with adjusted parameters.

FPA stands for Front Panel Lock, which disables the buttons on the TV's front panel. To disable it on the Sharp LC-40LE830U, follow these steps:
  1. Turn on the TV.
  2. Press and hold the VOL- button on the TV's front panel.
  3. While holding the VOL- button, press and hold the INPUT button on the remote control.
  4. Hold both buttons down until the message "Service Menu" appears on the screen.
  5. Release both buttons.
  6. Use the arrow keys on the remote to highlight "Option" and press ENTER.
  7. Highlight "FPA Lock" and press ENTER.
  8. Change the setting to "Off" and press ENTER.
  9. Press EXIT to exit the service menu.
The FPA lock should now be disabled, and you should be able to use the buttons on the TV's front panel again.

I can't enter service menu on Sharp TV 60LE751

Give this a try...
* While the LCD is on, unplug the power cable.
* Then while pressing the {INPUT} & {VOL -} buttons on the remote, plug the power cable back into the outlet.
* When it powers up you will see a little "k" appear in brackets.
* Then on the TV, press and hold {VOL -} & {CH -} down and release.
* The Service Menu will be displayed.
* Use {CH+} {CH -} buttons to navigate
* Use {VOL+} {VOL -} buttons to adjust the value.
* Turn the set off to exit the Service Menu

Press and hold the Power & Vol- button at the front panel of the TV. It should allow you to enter its service mode menu, where you can override the child lock. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" will make surf easy.

After the installation of a new A board, unit has the characters "CHK" on screen. The usual reset procedures of [VOL -] and [MENU] or [OK] or [SLEEP] will not get rid of "CHK".

1. Enter the service mode by holding down the [VOL -] button on the TV (main unit) and simultaneously pressing the [INFO] button on the remote control three times.
2. Press the number [2] key on the remote to highlight [SRV-TOOL].
3. Press the [OK] button on the remote control to select [SRV-TOOL].
4. Use the [DOWN ARROW] on the remote control to scroll down to [PCTC].
5. Use the [RIGHT ARROW] button on the remote to open the box to the right, then press and hold down the [MUTE] button on remote to display Time/Count.
6. Press and hold the [RETURN] button on the remote control until the TV turns off.
7. Immediately press and hold down the [VOL -] button on the TV (main unit) and the [MENU] button on the remote. The TV should come up in the Self Check mode.
8. Remove AC power.
