In most cases you do not need to install the driver as the OS supports , so unless your OS is the older version you will need to check if the model is compatible.

The flashing light on the adapter that is plugged into the USB port is normal operation of this mouse. In order to hide the light, I put electrical tape over it. There is no way to turn it off, as the flashing light is an indication that it is receiving a signal from the mouse.

You should not need any additional software for this mouse to work.

Please read all instructions before proceeding. If 1 does not work go to 2, then to 3.

1. Clean your mouse on all surfaces, I use a windex wipe that I have wrung out to remove some of the moisture, or you can spray a soft cloth with windex. It is surprising how dirty a mouse can get.Do not get the mouse wet. You also need to clean the surface where you use the mouse to free it of dirt and oils.

2. Go to Start>Control Panel>Mouse and check your pointer/wheel/button settings. They may be set to very slow levels. Make changes slowly, so you can see how your mouse responds.

3.Please go slowly and carefully when attempting this solution:
Start>Right click on My computer>Properties>Device Manager>Mice or pointing devices (expand the category and right click on your Dynex>Click on Update Driver>Choose look for driver in all places. This will let us know that you are using the best driver for your mouse or it will find a new one.

If it's wireless, have you changed te batteries? Is the optical lens clean?

if you're on a laptop make sure you enable the "Disable touchpad when external pointing device available" option in your touchpad utility. I think the touchpad interferes with the dx-pmse. Should fix the problem, if on a desktop make sure you remove all pointing device from device manager and then plug in ur dx pmse

First I m not sure the problem is from the mouse..try to reinstall the outlook if the problems appear only there ..change the battery of the mouse to be sure this is not caused by a empty battery causing commends errors..Clean the optical unit under to be sure it is assuring an accurate pointing ...and also you can reinstall the driver of the mouse to be sure you get it on its default settings ...
If you do not have a driver for it ..go to control panel..mouse...and check a function named click lock..that can interfere with what you said...it needs to be unchecked..cause otherwise it is highlighting and do stuff without the mouse button being pressed..Anyway the reinstalling of the mouse should get it to the original settings ...
by the way ..the side buttons have extra functions ..they can be changed as you need. and usually they are like ... home page ...or top of the list ...or one page back when pressed ..things like this.. It should be one on the other side too..
