Hi, you need to take the end-cap off of the right side of the handle bar. It is a black cap/plug that pulls out. You will see a black plastic piece that's about 3" long. Pull that out of the end cap. This is the extension that is screwed on the the air valve. Just place through the hole in the rear sprocket and thread on, and fill the tire with air. When done, unthread it and replace back into handle-bar end-cap and reinstall the end-cap. It only took me 4years to figure that out!

Battery powered vehicles like scooters and golf carts have trouble going up hill because smaller electric engines aren't powerful enough or made for nothing more than flat land. You could have a bad battery or the battery isn't being charged enough. I know someone that has a golfcart and it takes approximately 48 hours to charge full. You may want to check the manual about charging times.

There should be a name tag on the motor that tells the current (amps) that the motor uses. Such as 4.5 amps. You would then use one about 6 amps.

Did u replace it w/ the same type of battery?

Problem is not the batteries then. Replace the controller. The controller could be resisting some of the charging current to the battery.

But first try this:

Charger the scooter with it OFF

Directly connect the charger to the battery

If still the same problem then:

Directly connect the charger to the battery then,
connect the motor leads directly to the battery and see how long it runs. It with new the batteries it should run longer than a minute. If it does than something is definitively wrong with the controller.

Charge the batteries. If still no power than replace the batteries because they are dead. The batteries in the scooter need to be kept charged. If the scooter has not been charge in two weeks to a month and over. They are probably dead and need replacing. Find replacements at razor.com

take a look at the other one and see on which side the wire was hooked..on +or - or both where ...and just get some wires if they need to be longer ..and hook it in the same screw with the normal power line ..but remember from the other one ..which and where ..

First your going to remove the deck.
Take off the chain tensioner
Next remove the motor and put the chain around the gear
Put the motor back on the scooter with the chain on
Then take the rear wheel off and put the chain into the gear.
Put the rear wheel back on along with the chain tensioner and deck
Your done!

Note: the reason why I say you have the remove the motor and wheel is the get the chain on. So you may only have to partial remove the motor or tires to get the chain on.

You probably need a new battery.

First try charging the battery, if that doesn't work then replace the batteries with replacements from razor.com. This should solve your problem

Since the battery could put out 12v and still be bad your best bet would be to take the battery to Autozone or similar and have them do a load test (its free). This will let you know for sure if one or both of your batteries need to be replaced.

If it is a fuse problem then try looking for a fuse box in the controller or charger. If not then take it back, unless stated in the manual that you need to enter a fuse before it will charge, the scooter should charge right out the box.

Another thing you might want to try is to turn the scooter off before charging.

This could be a sign of a dying battery, although it charges and lights the green light it cannot maintain enough juice to power the machine when it has weight on it.

Maybe the battery inside is swollen or faulty and needs to be replaced

Question edited for clarity. Hello again Cindy, I gave you all the information on this a few days back. You need a competently inclined person with a multimeter. The circuit is simple. You have two 12 volts batteries in series which makes 24 volts. You have a hand controller which is a variable potentiometer like a volume control, which feeds voltage to the motors. The controller module tells you the battery voltage level and probably has a couple of relays. Check the battery wiring again, you should have a wire coming in to the plus on battery 1 and the negative on battery 1 should go to the plus on battery 2. The negative wire from battery 2 completes the circuit out. Do you know your charger works? That can be checked with a meter as well. Get out your multimeter and check the TOTAL voltage plus on battery 1 to the negative on battery 2. You should have 24 volts, 2 x 12 volt batteries in series. Take them both off and charge each one on a car charger set at 2 amps for about 4 hours each battery. Clean all the battery connectors with a wire brush and also the connectors. Smear them with Vaseline. Also make sure you have the batteries wired up correctly.
