I tried this first on a new unnamed folder to make sure it worked first. I am using a Mac, and hope this will help you. I went to my "Bookmarks" - "Show All Bookmarks" and simply clicked on the folder I wanted to delete, went to "Edit" and simply hit the delete key. If there are only individual bookmarks in a particular folder, open the folder, click on the bookmark you want to delete, then follow the same steps above. You can delete each bookmark or an entire folder. Hope this helps.
They do but it depends on how you add them to your bookmarks. I personally find the fastest way to add a new bookmark and get it to where I want it to be is to drag it there.
At the beginning of each website address (in the address bar) there should be an icon. You can click and drag this icon and place it in your bookmarks bar or in your bookmarks menu.
If you want to order/sort your existing bookmarks you can also use the bookmarks menu which can be accessed through the top option upon clicking open the bookmarks tab.
I hope this helped, if not please let me know what other information you would like and I'll try and help you as best as I can.
Try removing it from the add-ons if that do not resolve you can reset your browser by following these steps:1. Type in the address bar line "about:config" and press enter. 2. Confirm the message. Type the name of the search you wish to remove in the search bar ex: Delta Search. 2. Right-click the entries and click Reset. Restart Firefox.
Outlook really is no less secure than any other email client. Any market leading program will be a prime target for malicious hackers. It's a difficult balancing act for any software producer to on one hand, create a program which has all the bells and whistles that the public wants but maintaining a level of simplicity of code which prevents mistakes being made by programmers under pressure on a deadline.
The biggest insecurity in the computing world is (unfortunately) you (and I too!). People do some really silly things sometimes. For instance people on this board post personal information like email addresses phone numbers even house addresses. Then when they are targeted by criminals blame the computer systems.
If you access a web page and it screams you MUST press this button its REALLY REALLY IMPORTANT ITS FREE! or some thing that you might want to look at like say, "LOOSE 50LBS in a WEEK!"
Consider this, if somebody walked up to you in the street and asked you you name you address, your phone number, your post code your email address, your job, how much salary you earn. You'd be a little suspicious wouldn't you? I might answer some of those questions to a uniformed officer of the law if he asked but that would be it.
Yet people answer these questions every day on the internet then wonder why they are the target of 419 scams and such.
Just remember the weakest link in a security chain is you.
Copy and paste this link into your browser address box
http://216.58.210.68/
If you do that does it get there now? If so you most probably have some form of malware installed which is trying to redirect your search engine link away from Google to the hackers own search engine.
You could try to reset the settings in internet explorer.
Reset Internet Explorer settings
... or it happened recently you could try to use system restore repair the issue.
System Restore Microsoft Windows
You've probably been infected with malware which has killed your browser.
Assuming you are an administrator on your machine you could use system restore to back date your machine to yesterday or earlier.
(Windows 7)
Press Start
The in the search box type
rstrui.exe
(Windows 8.x)
Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search.
Enter Control Panel in the search box, and tap or click Control Panel.
Enter Recovery in the Control Panel search box, and then tap or click Recovery.
Tap or click Open System Restore, and then follow the instructions.
This will start the system restore program. Follow the instructions by selecting a restore date prior to the day you tried to install that program and the machine will attempt to heal itself automatically.
Once you have got the machine back working you might want to consider installing a program like Malwarebytes (It has a free version) and do a scan for malware form time to time.
Thank you for downloading Malwarebytes Anti Malware
Use the right side download link unless you want to pay for the full version.
404 errors are not the browsers fault. It's a response from the server saying it doesn't have a clue what web page you are looking for.
Imagine you have a book and you read the index, you get the page description and page number, but when you get to the page you find somebody has ripped it out of the book. In this case the book would issue a 404 error. (What you are looking for doesn't exist!).
This happens all the time on the Internet as it is a dynamic living reference library. People move things around delete pages whole websites can vanish and when that happens and you try to access it you will get a 404 error page not found.
I could & I arrived here "Welcome to Pearson MyLabsPlus", which is a gateway to "El Paso college". (IP address 159.182.164.119). Normally I'd just give you the url using the IP address but it wont work as its a secured link.
My guess is that either your browser is damaged (by malware which is redirecting you though an alternate gateway which doesn't have the DNS record) or your ISP's dns simply doesn't know this URL.
Does the same thing happen if you use a different browser like Chrome for instance?
Try to reset internet explorer.
To reset Internet Explorer settings
Close all Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer windows that are currently open.
Reopen Internet Explorer.
Click the Tools button, and then click Internet options.
Click the Advanced tab, and then click Reset. ...
In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, click Reset.
Network faults
Temporarily change your DNS settings.
Open Network Connections by clicking the Start button , and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type adapter, and then, under Network and Sharing Center, click View network connections.
Right-click the connection that you want to change, and then click Properties. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Click the Networking tab. Under This connection uses the following items, click either Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) or Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6), and then click Properties.
4.Now look at the bottom of the screen you will see preferred DNS press the "Use the following DNS server address" and in the first preferred enter 8.8.8.8 and the second enter 8.8.4.4
This is the IP address of the Google DNS servers which will replace your ISP's one. I have tested Google and it knows your El Paso college gateway IP.
Once you have done that OK it and either do a START>RUN>CMD>ipconfig /renew
or reboot the computer.
Try this fix and if it works you can safely leave the settings as is. It wont make any difference to you normal browsing. If not just re access the settings and click the obtain DNS server automatically.
