download the application indiddle fh.x it have the activation code but you can just download j.p.h.exe after that it will activate automaticaly and will activate your indiddle fh.x you can get a wire from any store get the wire ziplex and install to your computer and then you can connect wii fit plus to wii u and send games to each other and other stuff too....

For other users that this solution may not have worked for and your wii u was working previously (not DOA), your problem may be as simple as a screen protector.

This was our problem, no buttons worked, the sceen didnt respond correctly but everything else seems normal. It seems that nintendo's hybrid resistive/capacative screen can sense the screen protector sometimes and will accept it as an entry.

Since the screen is always on, it can act similar to holding down a key down on a computer where no other entry will be excepted until the botton is released.... or in our case until you remove the screen protector. Removed and reapplied and all is well.
