You need to access Admin programming in the phone system and navigate to Capabilities and change the Forward No Answer to the DN of the voicemail....if unsure of any of this you need to be calling your vendor that handles the system for all issues or questions.

A Nortel Key Service Unit, an ICS (MICS,CICS), BCM (50,100 etc), Norstar (308,616,824), an Avaya IP Office running Nortel cards, or there is another company that makes a Nortel emulation key system but I can't recall what it is right now.Carl

Mod cord, cable, jack or system port issue, call in your local tech/vendor to repair it.

You must do it from the control set only, usually reception set.Feature 871 and choose the mode you want such as Normal.

If you only have one line,why not just lose the Nortel system? You can reuse the wiring from the phone sets to the contoller as regular inside wire,and just plug in regular phones(and maybe put the Nortel phones and controller on EBay and make a few bucks off it!)

Normally tech side programmingIf you do not know how to program, navigate or the password call a tech.otherwise go to Sets/Ext#/Line Access/Line Assignment, enter line # in question, press Change until you see the option you want ie.e appear only or not assigned.

If the volume bar does not adjust the ring you here when you do Feature * 80 and press up or down then send the phone in for repair.

Feature * 7 then press UP or Down on display or on dial pad 1 to 9, old software maybe 1 to 4 only.

If it's rotary then your system was reset already.When a system defaults it will assign 2 lines to all phones and give Jan 1 as the date.Change from Rotary to Touch tone is done under Config/Lines/DataIf unsure who to program or navigate or config password then call in a vendor/tech.

test with owner manual, read carefully and proceed according. Otherwise you must will call to some tech for fix it.God bless you

Do you mean Voice Mail?Have your office manager or on site admin change it or call your local vendor for admin training or cheat sheet.You can also get required info from any Norstar Setup and Operation Guide

I dont see any advice given but a tip is Feature * 0 to see what buttons do.

Bad set or bad port on phone system.Call a tech in to check if another set will not work at same jack.

To page - F60To receive a page make sure the phone is in the correct page zone under Set Capabilities in system programming.

If a system defaults programming it assigns only lines 1 and 2 to each set.You either had this issue or somebody removed line 3.Call a tech in to program.

Call a tech in that handles the system programming to check the line port if ok and/or call your carrier to report the line as being dead.

When you do F985 it will show the DN of vmail, then you press 9.Maybe you have a BCM and not a Norstar, same phones work on both.In this case call a tech in.

Config/Lines/Line *** / Data/Pulse/ change to Tone

M7310 does not have a red light.And even if it did you answered your own question....you left that phone a message so now it flashes to let that person know they have a message.F65 to see who left messageF#65 to clear MSG and/or light.
