yes it can be fixed, there is no fuse.

Open the jaws and insert a Torx 20 driver. The thread is counter clockwise.

Contact DeWalt directly to request the manual.

Try some DW 40 in the switch might have something init stopping it working might flush it out . if not you may have to take a part and have a look at the switch

open chuck all the way and look down the hole being a reversible tool there will be a screw in there needs removed to get chuck off

You can try warranty services. However, if they are having an event in your area you might just try going down there. I have taken bad batteries to them in the past and they just GAVE me a new one.

There is no schematic - the charger is a disposable accessory, no repair parts are available.

It is a constant current charger and I would expect something like that.

If the speed control is the trigger, it is basically pushing the slider of a potentiometer up and down the track varying the control voltage to the speed control module. Basically it is no different in principle to an old fashioned rotary or in-line volume control and just like a volume control the track can become dirty or wear out in places producing unpredictable and erratic operation. Sometimes a thorough soaking with switch cleaner will restore the function.

The easiest way is to check the battery with a meter because the charger might need a load to come on and wont see the meter leads.
