Log in to the Nortel PBX and launch the OTM manager from the desktop shortcut with administrative credentials. Use a remote desktop product such as VNC to access remote phone system installations. Click the plus sign to expand the container that represents your organization. Double click Option 11 to open the system manager. Expand the Stations container. Double click Station Administration to open the set administration interface. Double click any entry to make changes to an existing phone. Click View and then Sort to re-order the list of phone by name, directory number, or terminal number. Click Edit and then Add or Delete to create new phone
or remove old entries. Highlight phones that have been changed and show REP in the Sync Status column, then select Synchronize, and Transmit Selected to commit the changes you have made.
Return to the Option 11 window and double click CPND to make changes to employee or phone names and other identification information. Click View and then Sort to re-order the list of phones by name, directory number, or terminal number. Double click the entry you wish to edit. Change the extension the name is connected to or the way names are displayed. Click OK to return to the CPND window, then highlight the entry you have changed. Click Synchronize and Transmit Selected to commit the changes you have made. Click View at the top of either the Station Administration window or the CPND window, then select Employee Selector. Click the column headings to re-order the list by name or number. Click Add New Record button to add employees to the list. Double click an entry to modify the record and how it's displayed, then click Apply, and OK. Close the Employee selector and return to the CPND window, highlight the changed or added entry and click Synchronize, and Transmit Selected to commit the changes you have made. Verify any changes made to a phone or display name to ensure your modifications have taken effect and work properly. Close the remote connection to the PBX or lock the console when you are finished to prevent any unauthorized access.
