Noise in gear box troubleshoot jazzy scooter
Gearbox noise is a good indicator that the gearbox is getting ready to fail. The best solution is to replace the motor and gearbox. If you don't have insurance they can be rebuilt for some cost savings.
The led flashes 9 times
9 flashes indicates a problem with the parking brakes. Check to make sure the brakes are engaged and the chair is not in freewheel. there may be a bad connection at the left and right motor connections and brake wiring. Check these connectors for separation and loose, corroded contacts. Reset the error code by turning the chair off and back on once you think you have corrected the problem. Hope this helps

Depending on the controller type being used you either have a controller solenoid brake fault (sticker on bottom of joystick will say "PG Drives" and have 9-bars flashing) or a communication error between the controller and joystick (Dynamic Controller flashing wrench).Repair for PG Drive is to replace joystick/controller.Repair for Dynamic is to clean, remove and reseat or replace joystick cable.
Jazzy select contol panel all leds flash 7 times. what does that indicate?
This problem may depend on which main controller your chair has fitted. It should be a Penny & Giles GC controller. US versions should have a GC3 whilst here in the UK, it would be fitted with a GC2. However, the diagnostic flash codes for these two controllers should be the same. The reason im slightly confused is that you say 5 flashes mean your charger is connected at power up, when in fact it should be a Right Motor Wiring Fault. 9 flashes is indeed a Solenoid Brake Fault, or in other words, the wheelchair is in 'Free Wheel' as you have described. Therefore, IF your controller is in fact a Penny & Giles GC, 7 flashes would mean a Joystick fault. There is not much you can do to diagnose this other than checking connections between the Joystick and main controller. If these are OK, it is likely that a new Joystick controller will be required as having these fixed is usually not cost affective. Hope this is of some help to you.
How to engage freewheel mode
Push down freewheel levers behind each wheel. Rock the chair back and forth if the levers are difficult to move.
Unlock
Not enough info to really give a good suggestion. Flashing lights and no movement usually indicates that the batteries are very low. Testing the batteries is the place to start and go from there.
What are the Best replacement batteries for the
ggirl why did you buy a pig in the poke they should refund your money because the batteries should have a six month warranty. Now always ask for the date code on batteries you are buying they shouldn't be any older than 4 months old. There are good batteries out there but if I offend anyone I'm sorry but MK batteries are very good also Interstate batteries and probably others that I'm not aware of. The best way to insure good batteries are buying fresh batteries, Charge them before you use the chair and always get into the habit of charging overnite if you use the chair daily. Never leave the charger plugged in more that 12 hours and if you don't use the chair daily charge at least once a week and always put up fully charged. Mk recommends charging the batteries daily for the first 20 days. Never run the batteries or let them fall below the red light on your battery level indicator. Your chair runs on about a 5 volt range (26-21 volts) after that the red light blinks like crazy. If it falls below 20 volts the charger will not charge the batteries. If you take care of them they should last you 3 years or more. Hope this helps
