I have the 7007- 00

Paragon 7007-00 120Volt 7-day timer with 4-NO terminals uses X4299 tripper.
Paragon is no longer making timers and parts, except for defrost timers. 7000 series is not defrost timer.
Patriot supply shows the X4299 tripper for $15 per pair July 2011.

Intermatic cross-over timer is T7401B

Timer is falling behind keeping

Paragon 7007-00 is 120V 7-day timer with spring-wound carry-over for power outage. Indoor outdoor enclosure. Heavy duty terminals and industrial motor. Sounds like it should last many years. Exposure to heat, moisture, dirt might shorten lifespan.
Solutions:
1) Flip manual override. Does it work crisp? If loose or hard to move, then mechanical lever might be worn or dirty. Take timer free and inspect for dirt, rust, loose parts that might indicate if new timer is needed
2) While timer is free from housing, inspect gears. Are they clean?
-Use blower & after gears are clean, spray with WD 40
Note:WD 40 is extremely flammable, turn off power.
3) Pins on timer wheel make contact with lever ... they push lever on and off - add touch of white grease to metal pins where they come into contact with on-off lever. Inspect pins for rough spots that might catch on lever.
4) Clock motor might be bad
Found links showing Paragon 7000 series motor, so motors must be failing. Motor is attached to back of timer.

Mechanical to Electronic timers

I believe this is as close as Intermatic can come. DO you really need the 40Amps? or would 30A work.

By mistake I loosened the time pointer. Now I cannot get in the right position for the correct time. How do I reset the time pointer?

That unit is not made any longer. I hope that you have shut off the electricity before you started working on it. You may need to remove the whole motor timer assembly from the housing in order to get the time pointer set back into position
