I need to buy a pressure washer for residential/commercial work

Were I to pick from one of those three, I would pick the Landa. The most reliable pumps are Hotsy and since Karcher bought Landa and Hotsy, those three brands now have Hotsy pumps, though it doesn't say it on the machines.

My pressure washer stops running

hi there sal rick85

sounds like the unloader valve is not working or stuck closed , check the setting of the unloader valve may be set too high, the unloader must open in odrder to cycle water back to inlet side of pump - if not builds up heaps of pressure , stalls the engine - service the un loader valves on the pressure head

take look and let me know - what brand your blaster unit is i know its honda but what pump
comet - axd, lw/zw, - in line or axial cam

in the mean time here is good web site on power washers

What type of oil is needed for a Honda GC160 Power

The type of oil recommended for that engine is SAE 10W-30 and the capacity is 0.61 quarts. This and more can be referenced at the website at the end of this solution. I was able to find the owners manual of your particular engine.

Why does my Honda 3000 PSI (2.4 GPM) pressure shut off when I push the choke to the open position? Doesn't matter if engine is cold or hot.

Your choke controls the mixture of fuel and air. An engine will run rich if it has a restriction to air flow. Try removing the air cleaner, if after this you can turn off the chock you have a dirty air cleaner.

When I move the choke to run the motor dies....even after 30 minutes of running.

No, but it sounds if the carb needs to be cleaned! Fresh fuel helps too. Check the spark plug and check the breather filter. Also you can crank the engine with the breather filter off and try to move the choke to run then. If it runs with the filter off then there is your problem! 1 question, has anyone try to work on it or adjust the carb in any way?

I bought a honda pressure washer power boss 3000.

If you are using a water tank for water supply, remove the water supply line from the pressure washer and connect a water hose from a faucet. Turn the water on, then crank the engine. Pull the trigger of the spray gun until water comes out. When then water starts to spray properly the release the trigger, shut engine down with pressure on the line then reconnect the water supply from the tank to the pressure washer. If this fixes the problem then the problem was "air-locked"! Happens alot with new pressure washers that have never been run. If you need any other help, please email me @ [email protected]

Honda powwer boss 3000-whenyoupull the handale to spray it kills the engine

Sounds like the unloader (regulator). Try removing the nozzle, the pull the trigger with the engine running. If motor is still running then it could be the Unloader malfunctioning. If you require a new one try a bypass system for the unloader. The bypass will help save the life of the unloader.

Why does my pressure hose burst when I use a turbo nozzle

Turbo heads are pressure rated for different pressure washers, your turbo head is most likely rated bellow the maximum pressure of your washer which in turn causes a pressure build up in the hose and it's eventual failure.

Why did my motor freeze until I let cool water flow through pump for a while

sounds like your pump or motor seized from overheating which makes parts swell / grow in size/expand so they stop working ,,,letting cold water flow through the pump would have cooled the parts and help shrink the parts again .. Overheating can do permanent damage to your machine.. I think it needs to be dismantled and inspected for damage by someone who knows what to look for. not sure if the problem is in the pump or the motor, hope that helped.....pete

Homelite power washer too much oil

Hi Martin, check the level of the oil in the engine, if the level is low, the machine has been tipped on the side and the oil has gone over the head. Make shore that engine is on the flat ground when used or transported. Tilting the unit over 20 degrees will cause the oil to go over the head. Two ways to fix the problem pour some petrol in the cylinder, put a rag on the spark plug hole and pull the starter rope few times to clean the cylinder, repeat the same until the cylinder is clean. You have to check the carbi for oil getting into it, and clean it. Make sure you clean all the petrol before attempting to start the engine. It is a bit messy but not require to pull the engine apart. The other way to clean the oil is to remove the cylinder head off and clean it, its the proper way of doing the job, but requires a lot of dismantling. Hope this helps. Cheers

Honda160gx fuel bowl leaking

Hi, there should be an o ring between the bowl and the carburetor, check for damage or if missing, also there should be fiber washers on the retaining and the draining screws. Check for a hole in the bowl if rusted, check if the bowl flange sits parallel to the carburetor and finally check for a rubbish in the bowl that will stop the float valve to operate correctly and cause the carburetor to overflow.

The pull start broke. A small plastic hook shaped

Parts are easy to find for honda engines at the small engine shop and on the net. All that you need do is to locate the model and spec number of the engine itself and go to the link below for your parts. Some honda parts are available in assemblies only, like the complete starter. Be sure to check ebay for aftermarket parts. You may save some money. Look for a "starter pawl assembly kit" .
