My voice mail light just lights up and I get a message in the display saying I have a message. I know of no programming that makes it ring.

If you are getting inactive feature when entering feature 983 the phone system and voice mail unit are not communicating. This usually requires a power reset to clear. Or the voice mail unit is in trouble and a vendor needs to be called.

Press the next soft key below your display.

Press the small orange release button.

Feature *3 then press the button you want to change or program and then press Feature and the desired code.

Check that you have pool access for your extension set to Y for pool A. Then check and change prime line which is down from line assignment.

Check where your phone is forwarded in programming busy and no answer.

This is usually an indication of the phone system resetting for some reason. If it doesn't clear try power cycling the phone system for a couple of minutes.

Try greetings 2, 3, or 4. One of these might be the after hours greeting.

The 9 option is not offered verbally but it exist. Press the 9 and then enter the 73738767793 at the Pswd prompt and answer the Reset pswd question with YES. The administrator password will be reset to default which is 120000 (2 digit extensions numbers), 1020000 (3 digit extension numbers), or 10020000 (4 digit extension numbers).

A key code is required to expand the number of allowed extensions.

The BCM 50 can be key coded for up to 12 extensions on the main cabinet. Expansions cabinets use one key code to cover whatever Media Bay Module is installed. If you have an expansion cabinet with extensions it is possible that the extensions on the main cabinet did not get key coded. I have had a system with an expansion cabinet and only key coded eight extensions in the main cabinet because it was cheaper. This can be checked in the system / key codes area of programming.

Try Feature *3 - press the button you had programmed of check voice mail - the press Feature 981. This should reprogram your button.

Check programming in voice mail to verify that the mail box does exist.

You should be able to enter programming from any T7316 or M7310 or M7324 phone. Does this happen at the other phones which can be used for programming. If it does, try a power reset of your phone system.

Press the Feature button and *80. Adjust the volume and press the release button.

Use the feature code *80. Press the Feature button and then *80, adjust your volume then press the release button.

Thank you all I have not solved it yet - when I try the 983 - I don't know the password; when I try the 985 to reset the password - it never gives me a chance to press 9, or consequently input 73738767793, because as soon as I input "983" the window shifts to "VM:363", and the only available prompt is "OK" - if I press "OK", it says Exit and I am out of the loop. Someone mentioned to delete all mailboxes and re-create them - how do I do that?
