No one in my work

The feature your looking for is custom call routing(CCR). If your using 4 digit DN's then you probably have larger office environment which I'm not sure that a CCR tree will handle efficently. To build your CCR tree, enter into voicemail admin programming, press the OTHR soft key, then the CCR soft key ehn the ADMIN key
enter in a CCR tree number, then press build At this point you would enter in the number of the path you want to build and what it will do. ex. path 1 means when I press 1 on the dialpad I want it to call Mary's extension(transfer, internal, ext 2221) When your finished building your paths you'll need to save your tree.then you'll need to enable the CCR tree under AA,TABLE, Grtg Table:1, then press next til you see CCR tree: none. Press the CHNG soft key then 1 on the dialpad and ok. That will enable CCR tree 1 to work in greeting table 1. Theres a large section dedicated to building and changing CCR trees in the Nortel voicemail manuals so don't be discouraged if you don't get it on your first try. good luck

When I hit feature and 983 on my T7316E Notel it says feature not active. It was active. How do I get it back

If your voice mail feature codes arent working(F983, F981 etc,)then the voice mail is not being recognized by the telephone system. You could try resetting the power to the voicemail unit and see if it comes back online. When you reset the voice mail it could take up to 10 minutes for it to fullly come back online.

System startup

Below the event message it should be also display"time" and "clear"on the screen. There are two corisponding soft keys below the two words. Press the clear key to erase the message from your display.

Rings twice and goes to general mailbox

Just have to go into vmail system and change the the number of rings till the vmail system answers (in this case 4); check your greeting table make sure the right one is assigned to the lines in question (each line can have a diiferent one or the same); and also make sure the right greeting is assigned to the greeting table you want to use.Do you have a program manual? If so, it has some sample proramms that would give you a "picture" of this is done, plus flow charts.

I can't get passed primary greeting recording.

Hi there Moodymar,One thing you can try is logging into your mailbox as you would calling into your vmail system externally.....dial access phone number....here prompt.....dial ** mailbox number, then password. ""Sometimes"" this tricks it and you can get in. Question, does any one else have the same problem? If no, then unfortunately you have to get the system administrator to delete your mailbox and re-create it, you will loose msg's.The nortel vmail systems are not forgiving if something doesn't sit right with them.You also mentioned that mbox is full, do you here the system announce that?Also make sure your mbox has not been set as a ""Information mailbox", maybe a silly question, just something to clear out of the way (this type of box does not record greetings).Another thing, typically when mboxes are created on Norstar vmail systems the extension and mbox numbers match. Make sure you ext and mbox number match, cause 99.9 % of time they will. That small percentage of time they don't cause's confusion for the end users.I know this is a lot of stuff, but, one last thing, to make sure your phone is operating okay, have someone else try logging into thier own vmail on your phone, or a couple of people

I'm trying to change the

Try pressing the FEATURE button then, **266344. On some Norstar phone systems there is also an Admin level of programming that is useful if you only need to change the names or the time. To access Admin programming, press Feature**23646(spells admin on the dial pad). Then 23646 for password.
