Press Feature 985
Press 9
Enter 73738767793
Press OK
Now go back to Feature 983
Enter 120000 for 2-digit extensions, 1020000 for 3-digit or 10020000 for 4-digit
Change the amount of times it rings before goes to V-mail

When logging into the voicemail
You're resetting the wrong password. Keep in mind that mailbox numbers and extension numbers are not always the same. When you're resetting the password, make sure that the EXT assigned to it is the right one !! If you're resetting the reception mailbox, it's usually mailbox 100 (regardless of what the extension number is)
Nortel T3716E send calls to voicemail HELP!
Sounds like the call forward no answer isn;t set up on your extension. The first thing to do is to find out what the voice mail pilot number is. That's done by pressing feature 982. The display should say "set:xxx". The set number provided is the voicemail pilot number.
Next you'll need to enter system programming.
Programming is done on 7310, 7324 and 7316 type sets.
Enter programming by pressing the feature key followed by **266344.When prompted to enter the password enter 266344.
The screen should say TERMINALS&SETS. The 4 top line/feature keys are now used for programming
At the terminals&sets prompt, press the show key (top right arrow). The display should now ask for an extension number.
Enter extension number you want to change call forward no answer on.
Press the show key (top right arrow)
The display should say LINE ACCESS
Press the next key (bottom right arrow) .
The display should say CAPABILITIES.
Press the show key (top right arrow) .
The display say foward no answer.
press theshow key (top right arrow)..
The display should say none. Press the chng key and enter in the voice mail pilot number.
press the show key again (top right arrow) To review the rings til forward. Press the chng key if you wish to change the ammount of rings til answered.
Press the release key when finished

To re-record the main greeting on most Nortel voicemails, enter Feature 983. if your system has 2 digit intercom #s your default password is 120000 if your system has 3 digit intercom #s your default password is 1020000. once you have entered the password you will see 3 selections you can make .use the three soft keys under the display and select AA (auto Attendant). next press greeting and greeting again. next it'll ask for the greeting number your
probably working with greeting 1. press record to start and ok when finished. dont forget to
save the greeting or it will be deleted if you exit early. hang up when finished.
Mbox Locked - Feature 981
Feature 985 is used for resetting the administrator password.To reset a subscriber mailbox press feature 983, enter in log (default 1020000), on the 3 soft keys bolow the the screen press mbox,chng, enter extension number of the locked mailbox, press reset at the reset password prompt.press rls key

Feature 983 log in is 120000 (if 2 digit extension, 1020000 if 3 digit, 10020000 if 4 digit extensions)
Select Mbox, enter that locked extensions mail box number, You will see password RESET. Select RESET. Release out. This will reset that mail box password to 0000. Use feature 981 on that phone and enter the new default password of 0000. you will then be prompted to change the password.
So in other words, try 1020000, 10020000, 120000
How can I activate feature 981
Press FEATURE (above the HOLD key on old sets or the Nortel Symbol on the new sets)Then press 981 on the dial pad.If states "Inactive when done then your voice mail system is down or the feature code was changed, either way if you do have voice mail then call your tech in to check the system right away.
