RCA 25403RE3 Corded Phone Questions & Answers
I need just the power
Try checking the auction site E-XXX. They usually have accessories. Or you could go to RCA and type in your product to see if they sell accessories to your model phone
RCA phone
I'm trying to get phone ID working and also the intercom working but have had no luck. I also get the "error:inhibited" message.
Line 2 will not work in office
First check the wires. If you have not made any changes in the office (adding or changing phone equipment) then one of the wires may be crimped. Check the condition of the wire and the socket on the phone and the wall. Make sure the connectors (little bare wires) are straight and that they make a solid connection when you plug the wire in. If you have made a change in the wiring check the wire to make sure it's a four conductor wire. Look at the ends, there should be four gold connections. If it only has two in the center that is the problem.
If the wires are good then swap out the phone with another and see if the problem stays with the phone or not. If you move the phone to a wire that previously had lines 1 & 2 working and line 2 still does not work then you have a problem in that phone. If the phone works then you have a problem in the wall wiring (Call a technician then).
If the problem is with the phone check that the line is active. You can program lines not to ring or not to be active on the phone.
RCA EXECUTIVE SERIES 50029864
If you are looking for a message on hold port, you will not find one. Technically speaking, this is not a phone "system." There are 2 options for using messages on hold with your phones:
1) Using a message on hold player with a built-in adapter
2) Using a message on hold player and a separate adapter
The best option can be a little tricky to determine. We work with hundreds of small businesses that have 2,3,4 line phones and can help you figure this out and deliver the best solution. Please call me.

I have RCA Executive Serices
Tom,
I had the "error: inhibited" problem with my RCA 4-line Executive Series phone as well.
When I checked the line from the phone to the wall outlet, I saw that it had come undone.
After I plugged the phone back into the wall, it started working normally again.
I recommend substituting in a different, known-good telephone to see if that works.
If you can't get any phone to work plugged into that extension, then the extension is dead.
If another phone works but your RCA still will not, then the problem is with the RCA phone.
A similar idea is to try moving your RCA phone, substituting it in place of a working phone.
If it works in room X but not in room Y, suspect the phone wiring running to room Y.
This phone employs a common but awkward means of wiring up lines two and four.
Line two is wired to the wall by piggybacking on the patch cable used for line one.
Line four is wired to the wall by piggybacking on the patch cable used for line three.
A phone cord has four wires running through it, but a phone signal requires just two.
The piggybacking technique leverages the cable's free pair to feed a second line.
The upshot is that one can test the wiring for lines one and three with a simple, plain phone.
To test the wiring to lines two or four, some specialized knowledge is needed.
In place of that knowledge, a different two-line phone which also piggybacks might be used.
That's detail you'll need to consider only if your problem is specific to line 2 and/or line 4.
Anyhow, I hope I'm not patronizing by being too simple. But, I had this problem too.
It turned out to have nothing to do with the phone itself; the signal wiring to it was bad.
I realize that this feedback is a bit late and that you've likely already resolved your issue.
Perhaps this feedback will someday help somebody else (since these Q&As are archived).
Regards,
Lincoln
