Hi There, really it is up to you, I have mine on Frig on 3 and my Freezer on -18 I find that things stay better longer in the frig then the date on the items due to it being at 3, but when you put things into the freezer bag everything two times or put Cling film on everything then put into bags, this will stop freezer burn on meats & breads ok.

There are alot of things that can cause no cooling... a stuck tstat, will cause it to freeze up(electronic control) a broken defrost timer will cause ice build up from no defrosting out, or low on freon charge inefficient compressor door gaskets leaking light switch not cutting off the light inside the cooling or freezing compartment a bad fan motor(door) switch I dont know how your unit works, but most only have one evaporator in entire unit..and its in the freezer compartment, and the cooling side gets it (coldnest) from the freezer compartment..with a door flap that alows cold air from the freezer to enter the cooler side. It's more likely that the automatic defrost system is defective, or the heating wire for the defrost drain. It's also possible that the temperature controls are set too low. Try zero degrees for the freezer and 38 degrees for the refrigerator side. If that works without problems you might put the freezer at minus two degrees and leave the refrigerator at 38. Another possible fix is to put a longer heating wire in the drain.

it could be fill valve located at the back lower part under cover or your filter should be replaced

usually the fan is turned on by the door switch, and a thermodisk, located on the freon line near the evaporator coil in the freezer...this disk have to be cold enough before the fan come on..

maybe the defrost timer has the control wires going throu the timer which turns on the defrost elements, turns off the compressor, or door switch...

The manufacturer does have date codes built-in to the boards, but there is no information on how to decifer it. The problem is that old boards do have to be returned for dud charges. Sorry, but I'm sure this is not what you wanted to hear. Any other reason you wanted to check?

HI, The picture I find with your model # show a rear panel in the freezer side that will need to be removed. Once it is removed, you will be able to see the drain pan and drain hole. Make sure the once you remove the ice, flush the drain hole with hot water. I use a basting serenge. I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

The most common reason for this issue is ice accumulation behind the interior plastic liner which is keeping the air from flowing properly. There are a few ways to fix it, but the easiest is to unplug the appliance, open the doors, and let it thoroughly thaw. This could take a few days. You can also take off the interior panels to get at the ice if you want to hurry the process along, but you can also just wait. Sop up the water, and when it appears to be done thawing, plug it back in. It'll be just fine.

might need a new temp switch of you lost your freon wich will no longer cool like a ac in a car call a plumeing and heating guy to check ac level in the comprassor good luck
