By pulling up on the door tells me that some adjustment is needed to the door or the switch. Check to see if the switch has broken at the tip, or bent back a little. Also see if any screws that hold the switch in place need snugged up to make it stick out of the holder more. You may be able to see the screws just beside the switch. You may be able to use your switch by gluing a thin piece of something to the toggle. Just be careful that you use something capable of taking the heat. Just had to replace the switch on my dryer last week. Got switch off of amazon for 8.00 bucks. MAKE SURE it is the right switch when ordering. I am a do it yourselfer.. not a pro.

Possible fault in the program controller unit, it can be related to a memory failure. Switch off power for some time and try again to confirm this fault.

Maybe a sensor at the back sensed overheating. You might be able to remove the backplate and search for a little button, which acts as some sort of reset button. (I do have a different tumble dryer, but it's the same brand and had similar problems). Maybe more ventilation is needed to prevent this from happening again.

try cleaning the vent line. if you have a flex vent line make sure it isn't kinked in any spot. make sure the outlet outside does not have a birds nest or anything blocking it

On most dryers, the front panel helps hold the drum in the proper position. The bottom of the drum usually rolls on rollers at the rear and is connected at the rear center with some type of bearing. Make sure it is in the proper position at these spots. Look on the front panel for something that will fit into the drum front opening and hold the drum front up while putting the panel in position.

Sounds like an electronic problem on the timer circuit board.
