Siemens Gigaset 8825 Cordless Phone - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

Probably you are NOT folowing correctly instructions.

Some Gigaset phones have an option to have the answering machine play an outgoing message only without taking a message. You should check your settings and make sure you don't have yours set up this way. This could also happen if the memory for the answering machine is full so that it cannot record any more messages.

The power supply of the base station is working correct? the cable from the power supply is not broken? and the cable from the power supply is inserted? Just a few questions, things I would start with when my base station wold not have any lights. Oops the base station of my Siemens Gigaset S79H does not have lights.

Google the name brand of the fone and call customer service. U wil have to disassemble the fone to get to light u will

The KX-TD7685 isn't an answering machine. To record a greeting on your answering machine, please refer to the manual for the answering machine. If you require further assistance, please reply to this post and specify the make and model of your answering machine.

I have seen similar types of faults on these and other types before, and they always present the same symptoms you indicate. However use this top manual and go to page 55 and do that procedure, and see if that will work? If it still will not work OK, then you have little option but to get it repaired, use the process indicated in the manual, as to repair. You may like to only first just ask for a "Quote", and once appraised of costings etc, you can then make up your mind as to repair or replace?

Since mailbox is already emptied. You should not be experiencing this problem anymore. Try to reset that unit by unplugging it from the power for 2 mins. Plug in the power after twor minutes then test again the issue.

You didn't mention a brand, but normally, our Panasonic phones go stupid about 3 times a year. Sometimes we can just turn the handset and base off, and power up the base then then handset and reset the units, but mostly we have to re-register the handset to the base. It's done in our case by selecting it as a menu item on the handset, then pressing the locator button on the base. It goes out and finds the handset and we're good for another couple of months.

I will suggest you reset your vtech phone, Turn off the phone, remove the AC adapter, press and hold the page/call button that is on the phone and plug back your Ac adapter, this will fix the problem.

From your statement it show that the phone (Gigaset 8825) to be wrong in function this is because the wire that you are making use of on the connection might not be compatible with phone to carry out is assignment a it expected of it ,

what you are to do to get well the problem is from, first of all make use of the other phone wire that work out with the phone Gigaset 8825 to test run your Gigaset 8825 phone to sell if it will work then the problem is not from the phone it from the wire that you are making use of for the connection ,but if the problem remain the same then it the mean that all test running has been carry out to determine well the problem is from,
mean that you will have to return the phone to store of purchase that is if the phone fail to out the other phone wire but if it work with it then also mean that the wire is not compatible with the phone which will need a replacement.
please note this information DO NOT damage the HP 8500 all in one before going to the store for replacement .

many phones you just have to press the * key or the # key one time. Check the settings to make sure remote connection is on and that you know the correct security code

This is a normal bug which is present in 8825 model.The phone settings is corrupted,
You have to restore the phone to factory settings and set the settings whatever you like to.

Restore steps at base station:

1)Press menu.
2)Scroll to "system settings?" and press select
3)Enter the system PIN and press Select(Hope you remember the PIN)
4)Scroll to "RESET SYSTEM DEFAULTS?" and press select
5)At the promt "Are you sure" press select .the displa shows "settings reset to default" and you will hear a confirmation beep


Restore steps at Handset Defaults:
1)Press menu
2)Scroll to "Mobile settings" and press OK
3)Scroll to "Local settings" and press ok
4)Scroll to "Factory default" and press ok
5)Enter the handset PIN and press ok.The display shows "setting reset to default"and
you will hear the confirmation beep.

Complete the following steps to reset the PIN on the 8825 back to 0000.

1. Press MENU.
2. Scroll to System Settings but do not press SELECT.
3. On the keypad, enter *65# (Star, 6, 5, Pound).
4. It will display "System PIN Reset" and return to the idle screen.
