If not, get the driver from manufacturers web site and install it. If the driver is installed, check that WLAN is not disabled by some mechanical button on laptop. Some models have these.

That is a hallmark of a failed DC jack...or a bad motherboard. I'll address the simplest thing first. The jack pin often comes loose. If you check the pin and it is not loose, test the computer with a known good compatible AC adapter. This will likely tell you what is causing the problem.

Based on the information you have provided, the issue might be due to any of the Hardware components in the Computer.
However, you may try removing and re-inserting the RAM Modules.
By doing this we can check if the issue is due to the RAM Modules in the Computer.
