If you post pics then we identify another spot to solder I'm afraid your soldering skill won't be up to par. In laymans terms motor is shot, transmission gone i wouldn't waste money fixing the fuel pump. my advice is buy a new one and spend that time installing a xkey to save your dvd drive. Pro tip save the old dvd drive to make legal backups of your games.

Yes, this can be tricky sometimes. Be close to your console when synching your controllers. As always make sure the controller is on. You will need to press both the synch button on the console and on the controller approximately the same time. If you have done this correctly. My only guess would be that you disconnected the cable to the sensor while cleaning your Xbox. Have you checked all the connections before reassembling it? Check out the video I linked, maybe it'll help you!

What to do when your Xbox Has problems with reading disks and you have tried cleaning the disk.

This does not mean your Disk Drive needs replacing more often than not it just needs the laser to be readjusted.

Option 1

You can send this off to Microsoft if your still in warranty because it is included in there free fixes so they will do the collecting for you, fix it and return the Xbox to you, all for free, but it will take 4-6 weeks.

Option 2

If you are out of warranty its the same process as above but its $130 in cost

Option 3

now a new Disk drive would cost around $75 for a compatible one and you may need some one to fit it at a cost as well.

Option 4

What I recommend is a XBOX REPAIR GUIDE that will show you the simple steps yourself, you will be up and running again in less than an hour and the cost is far less than option 2 & 3

Bring it in to your local game store. If there is a problem, they should replace it with another disc. Your disc may have been scratched on an area that has loading information on it.

Try going to your console setting, system info, then press LT RT X Y LB RB X left and then down (on the D-Pad).
If that doesn't work, try calling microsoft at 1-800-4MY-XBOX (1-800-469-9269)

If your Xbox 360 console is not reading disc, first check it this happen to multiple CD. Check if the disc has scratches on it. If not, clean the disc by wiping it with damp soft cloth from the center outward. (Note: Use distilled water). Also make sure that the disc that your playing is compatible with your console. Next step is to clear the cache by going to My Xbox > System settings > Memory > highlight the storage device and Press Y on your controller > Select Clear System Cache. Then try to play again the disc. If still same thing, disconnect the hard drive, memory units and controllers and then reconnect it again. Try to play again the disc. If the problem only occur in one disc, replace the disc. If this happens intermittently, you need to contact Xbox Support for the repair of your console.

hi, how well does your daughter look after her games? if her disk's have scratches on them the xbox will have trouble reading it and will often do this. another cause is that the xbox is old the laser will be worn out and will take ages to load a game.

the 2 solutions are:
1. check the disk, if it is highly scratched go get it cleaned, most gaming stores will do it for a small fee
2. take apart the xbox (only if out of warranty and step-by-step instructions can be found on youtube) and clean it gently with a duster

it could be that u have to many of stuff on your ps3 or your ps3 is overheating

This is usually a precursor to your console receiving the "Red Rings of Death". However it could also just be a scratched disc.

You can also try to clear the harddrives cache

Does this happen with other games/servers? If so, it may be your network connection. Try resetting it.

Remove the hard drive from your xbox then start up your console. If the xbox loads up with the hard drive off then the drive has failed and will need replaced.
