First, make sure your Jitterbug phone is turned on and open. While looking at the inside screen, adjust the volume by using the rubber volume button, which can be found on the outside of the phone. Press the top of the button to increase the volume and the bottom of the button to decrease the volume. The inside screen will display the ringer volume level. The ringer volume ranges from Vibrate to Max.

if your mothers phone can down load apps from Play store you could download the following app BLOCKER by Embware it has stopped me being pestered all day every day all you have to do is open the App follow instructions then enter the numbers you want blocking when they try calling all that happens is they are hang up on , you can even stop getting nuisance TEXTS . HOPE THIS HELPS. With this app you wont even know you've been called .

There are several ways to enter a number into your Phone Book:

1. Call GreatCall Customer Service for assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 1-800-733-6632. 2. Create an account at mygreatcall.com and modify your Phone Book online. 3. Manually enter a number into your phone.

To manually enter a number, it depends somewhat on what model phone you have - either the Jitterbug Original/One Touch or the Jitterbug J. In all cases, you will need to open the phone and access the Phone Book menu option. With an Original or One Touch, this can be done by pressing NO until you see PHONE BOOK listed at the top of the screen. With a J, you will press YES once the option for PHONE BOOK is highlighted in the center of the screen. Press the up arrow and you will see the option EDIT PHONE BOOK. Press YES to select. Press YES again to select Add. Now you will be prompted to type in the name of the contact using the Triple-Tap method. Each number corresponds to 3 letters. Tap the appropriate number in quick succession until you see the letter you want to enter. Use the "#" to enter a space. Example: To enter the name "John," you would press 5-666-44-66. Once you are satisfied with the name, press YES to select DONE. You will then be prompted to enter the number. It is recommended that you include 1, the area code, and then the 7-digit number even if it is a local number. Example: 1-760-555-4321 Once done, press YES again. You will see the message Successfully Added and you are done!
