I have the Black and Decker All-In-One Deluxe

There is a sealed bearing in the bottom of the bread pan. The paddle sits on the sealed bearing shaft. Over time the bearing begins to fail and the paddle does not turn freely or it may even freeze up. If you are sure everything is installed correctly this may be the problem. See if the paddle moves freely by hand and is not really loose. Sealed bearings can not be replaced. Eventually you will need a new bread pan. Sorry Hank

Could be old flour or old yeast, not enough fluid. And the temperature of your kitchen. Usually half a cup of raisins and usually there is a beep when to add, but can be added the second knead cycle. depends on the recipes. Also, I find that if you roll the raisins in a dusting of flour it helps them distribute through the loaf better.

How do I make a loaf of gluten-free bread moister and lighter in texture

Look for gluten free recipes that incorporate guar gum and / or xanthan gum (which you can get at health food stores: inexpensive and they go a long way.) Once you get an idea of quantities, you can experiment with adding them to your own favourite gluten-free recipes. These natural ingredients are what many commercial gluten-free bread makers use.

This is perfectly normal for the whole wheat setting. Because it is a heaver bread the flour has to soften a bit before it starts to kneed. I use this setting a lot with perfect results.

My bread always falls in the middle. What do I do?

Use an oven thermometer to check you oven temp for accuracy. Bake longer time at lower temp can also help. Use a little less yeast?

How do I check yeast

Put a teaspoon in some warm water with some sugar and mix. It should bubble after about 5 minutes. If nothing happens the yeast is likely dead. Do you keep your yeast refrigerated after opening? That makes it last longer.

Dough doesn't rise

Yeast is likely too old, buy a new one and try again - if it works, toss out the old yeast. If the results are the same, your unit is bad. Is it getting warm/hot while operating?

Gluten free recipes for a B1650

Gluten free recipes are thicker and stickier than wheat and will probably wreck your bread maker. I had a 2500 model and it broke while making a gluten free bread, so yours will likely be the same. I found it best to keep the dough more liquidy than solid to avoid extra strain on the motor and paddles, but it will affect the outcome. There are lots of gluten free recipes on the internet, just do a simple web search.

These are fussy models and have lots of issues - if you are still covered under warranty just contact B & D, they were great at sending me a new model after mine broke under warranty. It sounds like yours is broken beyond repair, it is likely cheaper to replace it. Try contacting the company, they should be able to help you best.
